  • have u eva been to kingsbury scrap yard?

  • @IndianaJonesnutter

No i haven't. where abouts is that?

  • What a waste of 119 seconds this was.

  • Very cool music- but where are the Steam Engines - if any??? did not see any!!!!

  • @Jimyjames73

There are some in the shed which are preserved..

  • pore locos god whill pute them in to service in heven

  • most of them work but a lot come in for work and then go back out again you can see them running at galas

  • Well not all of them can survive just like the steam engines .

  • creepy...

  • why are they not being used? they still function dont they?

  • @jawbreaker480

Most are being mothballed for spares, some will be scrapped. The very odd one may be saved and restored. A company called "Harry Needle" i think owns them. They are scrap merchants say no more...

  • see them all on Google Earth,,,

  • spares locos not going to waiste

  • Its a sad fact of life to see these once common locomotives now rotting away in yards as they yield to the likes of the "ten-a-penny" Class 66's. Its a shame that Britain doesn't make its own Locomotives and Rolling Stock anymore.

  • diesels steame engines it dose not matter thier still american history i love steam trains

  • Eh? This is in England...

  • @CHESEABUN US, UK, it doesn't matter. locomotive are our shared past. one that we should (and i will) resect and remember

  • @CHESEABUN OOPS!

  • @kirbyfan600 This is a scrap yard in england. All 1950s/60s era engines many still in service but many are now dead.

  • what a sorry sight to think how long these take to build and how quickly they can rip them apart, ashame suppliers stopped making parts for these beasts.

  • So many of them, and so much wastage. In parts alone from that yard, you could probably have at least two live ones

  • are they still there? would love to get some photos

  • Yes they are still there. I believe they belong to Harry Needle (scrap dealer) which is right next door to Barrow hill. Next to the Deltic preservation society shed....

  • thanks will look it up and go down there and get pictures

  • On the contrary Vader. Boring as they may be, Diesels are not evil. Their just another type of locomotive. But yes, I'm not saddened by seeing diesels left for scrapping either, though rusting steamers do make me sad.

  • As sad as it is to see any machinery rusting, to be cut apart, I am not saddened by these evil diesels in a scrap yard.

  • right i thin kits abou time we get these loco's runnig again and im sure there would be plenty off of componeys would have them

anyone agree with me on that?

  • if i could raise the money i would by 37672 as i have a model of hear and she rip there

  • wheres this yard?

  • Barrow Hill, Staveley, Chesterfield, in Derbyshire UK.

  • Its enough to make one shed tear

  • This is neat! Great music as well.

  • 5* alot of class 20s great footage
