The Maluha Kalyan gat he played here is different than the one on an old 78 RPM I had .None the less each has its own beauty. Nikhil Banerjee was a Yogi in Sitar He was achieving his emancipation though the great music he played.
The more I see him , the more I feel and realise the endless journey of attaining a little perfection of executing this music, it always provokes me to practise more and more. He was a genious and legend a master .thank you so much Kishori ji for sharing such a gem with the world, its a pity your other treasurous channel have been blocked, it cleary proves that to move with good things in this world is quite prohibited, shame on those who has created this.
Exquisite!! I LOVE Nikhil Bannerjee's technique, & compositions!! :)
Nikhil Bannerjee was my belated father's favorite favorite...wonder why he actually preferred him over Ravi Shankar, ..(though am absolutely mesmerized by Ravi Shankar's renditions, "Just as much", especially "Sandhya Raag w/Veena, Swara Kakali ETC. W/Yehudi Menhuin for example....

Thanks a lot for the video! It's a beautiful raga, Maluha Kalyan. However, are you sure this is Rupak tala? I think this is Ada Chautal of 14 beats.
Thanks again for the video!
