Supposedly in violent conflict all efforts are made to minimize civilian casualties. How could our elected officials ignore the fact that these cluster bombs primarily blow off hands and limbs or kill children and farmers? The lifetime human cost and economic hardship is not measurable. It's time to stop intellectualizing the weapons of war and connecting with our shared humanity.
