  • love it

  • Hi abg,

Nice idea....how are you doing on ETSY? I plan to start selling there as soon as I get all of my hand made jewelry photographed? I like odd rings, what a great idea (felt). Happy creating, Kim {{waving from TX}}.

  • Hello Kim,

Sorry for the delay in responding! I haven't done well on etsy, but because I don't put the time into it, especially lately. Last year when I started, I really was putting a lot of effort and selling a little bit, but certainly not enough to feel I was being successful.

It takes a lot of work to advertise your stuff , especially if you have unique items. Jewelry is very competitive on etsy, so it's harder...but I think it can be done with persistence.

    Good luck!!

  • You should try selling your stuff at markets. Set up your own stall girl! If you were in london - i would have recommended Camden or Covent Gardens. Alternatively contact those alternative shops that sell unusual jewellery and see what they think. I reckon alot of people would be interested in your ware.

  • Miami is a horrible place for crafters and most artists, actually. I've tried a few art/craft fairs and for some reason I haven't done well.

If I continue to make this type of jewelry, I would definitely research "alternative" shops...there might be some in South Beach.

    Thanks for the comment!!

  • Ooh I like the felt flower ring! Purple? =) I'll have to go look!

  • lol, thank you...those are fun to make.

  • I've been creative my whole life, actually. As a little girl, I did a lot of crafty stuff. In college I got my BFA & MFA in Painting. Last year I started making the Crafty stuff again, to sell on etsy.

The earring hooks are just the silver colored, regular nickel plated (I believe) that they sell to make earrings. I am allergic to almost everything on the planet and those types of hooks haven't bothered me yet, but if you can only use a certain type, you might want to avoid it, just in case!

  • how bout as a bararette, dang u just said that lol

  • LoL
