  • how much of it is real!?!

  • Fuck the ad. I want to listen to Eyedea.

  • is there a subtle great gig in the sky sample in the back of this song? or once again am i just loosin it?

  • Let go....

  • After listening to this song, I feel like I wish I wrote it. It makes me feel like someone felt like I do, but explained it incredibly well.

  • holy shiT!!!!!!!

  • I guess this was when Michael Larson dove into philosophical theories on consciousness. R.I.P Eyedea, such a talented artist.

  • ok tell me I am not the only one who hears it, the beat is hella similar to Pink Floyd's The Great Gig in the Sky

  • @BeatlesSydBarrett9 Yup, Abilities sampled it ^_^

  • @Filthy0Filthy0Filthy that's hella tight, I have twice as much respect for them now

  • @BeatlesSydBarrett9 I was thinking the same thing

  • @BeatlesSydBarrett9 ,,,,no way ..hella no way...lol

  • I was just looking back through some old songs on my eyedea cd and I came across this song. Just listening to the words brough tears to my eyes the words are beautiful.

  • i dont suffer from insanity, i enjoy every second of it, when your lost inside your own mind you will learn more about yourself than anything else could ever teach you

  • RIP Micheal, I just recorded some music with this song in memory tonight.

  • this track is about realizing that every thing, person, and being made of matter is one consciousness experiencing itself subjectively. never fear or lack. R.EYE.P.

  • "Gotta lose your mind before you find it - And when you finally find it you'll find out you never lost it at all"

I had this exact thought yesterday. Turns out Eyedea felt the same and even wrote about it :)

  • @SX1995able to be honest i dont think 2pac was all tht good, not tryin to hate just speakin my mind

  • you dont need drugs to enjoy eyedeas music,

but you need eyedeas music to enjoy drugs

  • @misfits9903 You don't need Eyedea's music to enjoy drugs, I think you meant; "to enjoy drugs FURTHER." Haha, just a friendly stoner helpin' ya, man.

  • i'v always held a special place for this album

  • Man... This is poetry. The instrumental is just for fun. Stuff makes me laugh and cry at the same time.

  • RIP

  • RIP Mike it is a line that not everyone can cross. Shit becomes so thick when you are blessed with such gifts it becomes difficult to lift the wreck...sift through the mess after you lift up the dress of your lady, and assess what has been gettin to you lately...

  • RIP Mike

  • kinda sound like pink floyd at the end

  • damn barely discovered mike but damn, nigguh has more then floww. you can feel him

  • This song is the dive part 2 not well being. same cd different song

  • when i get sick, i vibe to this and then i'm better (:

  • :") so beautiful

  • when the guilt gets to me, this song saves me.

    It's a shame it didn't save Eyedea.

R.I.P The deepest of my feelings go out to Michael.

  • I would trade my skateboard for a time machine to go back to this time in hip-hop.

  • @Lostgates why? 02 is when mainstream started takin over. underground labels had all the good shit comn out tho like Jedi Mind Tricks, Non Phixion, Typical Cats, Darc Mind, etc...

  • "It starts out with a question. how much of it is real?

Now all is irrelevant, outside of this ordeal

Don't worry about explainin it there ain't no human language

that can actually describe exactly how you feel"

some of my all time favourite rhymes. god damn

  • What? All of of his song on my I-pod are fucked up, then what song is it were abilities dors the whole thing, and it says: Hello friends, my name is, DJ Abilities. ??

  • @jman224333 the song is called dj ablities

  • Every fucking line of this song is epic. Filling up my quote book as we speak

  • dammm Im slillpinnn away

  • The lyrics on this track are incredible, such good advice, it actually has many similarities to eastern traditions/philosophy

  • i mean i dont wanna bash another artist but im just tired of people sayin 2pacs so great. in my opinion and its just my opinion biggie doesnt get enough credit

  • @risingpauler the both suck, get over it

  • 2pac is deff not the deepest rapper

  • @risingpauler yeah youre right, 2pac was mainly about how the government wasnt paying attention to people and about the ghetto and what not, he was a great rapper , R.I.P Tupac. but eyedea goes way deeper into the problems of ones mind and other serious shit.

  • I love it when people speak my mind for me

remind me that there really is no reason to worry

Just like everyone else I have to wake up everyday

No matter which side, they both feel about the same

Just as long as I keep movin on,

Grab a friend when it feels like the end

    R. Eye. P Michael Larson

  • @xXMasterNaderXx *Larsen

    \

  • i find myself rediscovering the music i listened to in high school to rediscover myself.

  • @harshblk really poetic dude

  • this is peotic philosophy. truly incredible

  • This is "The Dive Pt. 2", not "Well Being", but whatever.

  • underground at its best

  • Its truly astounding the understanding of life eyedea had on life, its so sad that so many people fall into the grips of lady gaga's little monster cult and such. Eyedea real music, for real people

  • Comment removed

  • Rest in peace eyedea, your music is legendary

  • fucking genious! R.I.P Eyedea

  • buying all 4 of eyedea's cds was the best $46 i've ever spent in my life...

  • @glass509 puts everything about lyrical speed, flo, an cleverism to another level, glad that u dont listen 2 c-rap. nice. ever listen to shadows have shadows? dont think its on cd or i-tunes but its on you-tube. its got a beat ive never heard on any hip-hop/rap album b4. good shit.

  • @glass509 DUDE where did you find them? Only 2 of them were available on Rhymesayers?

  • @deezy44100 you can get them all on amazon.com...the many faces of oliver hart and all of that. and its not like you aren't supporting the artist, they ship you the actual cd so it goes to the artist (or his mother i guess). you will not regret buying his cds..this man taught me more than all 12 years of school did im pretty sure. and kristoff krane's first 2 cd's are also good as fuck....like rediculously good.

  • @glass509 hes got more than 4 cd's but keep spending! he'd APPRECIATE THE GAS MONEY!!

  • @Slode420 Why would he need gas money, he's dead.

  • @superinfinite88 yea so eyedeas death means his family gets free gas.. And it's not like abilities is well and kixin it

  • @glass509 I couldn't agree more.

  • @glass509 E N A = number one hip hop duo

  • @glass509 4?!

  • @slimedev First Born, How Eye One the Write Too Think (under Eyedea/Oliver Hart), E&A, By the Throat

  • R.I.P.

  • listening this song just want me to be wit amazing and smart people like Confucius Bruce Lee Nujabes John Lennon Micheal Jackson all these great people who had found themselves falling into madness and so they dove

the best thing they ever did and that was to let go and thus leaving a legacy and impact people of today RIP for all who once lived in this world that kept it real till their last breath and left a image, inspiration new ways of ideas and best of all something we may never understand

  • Reality is mine, to play with and mold. RIP Eyedea, Love you bro.

  • i used to argue with people all the time about how 2pac was the best rapper of all time and nobody could ever touch a person's soul in the way he did...boy was i wrong...

  • @glass509 exactly there are sooo much underground artist! and the mainstream media has put individuals such as tupac and biggie to actually succeed an thus giving impact amongst youngster in the sense of protecting them. but once they've grown to understand and learned down deeper the roots they soon realize that they have been missing out on what is real and fake....

  • @PimpingRice i'm not calling tupac fake...i think he was one of the greatest poets of all time. but i get what you are saying...i can relate to eyedea like no other artist. i'm not a thug and im not hard, i have a problem with my existence. thats what i love about eyedea...

  • @glass509 sorry but im also not calling tupac a fake he's one of the top but since you get what i mean then you understand the rest of what im getting at with modern society. i wish you a good day...

  • @glass509 I agree. Anyone who says 2pac was the deepest rapper is wrong. He talked about political shit but Eyedea was talking about self consciousness and self philosophy, which in my opinion is far more important.

  • @SX1995able politics can relate pretty closely to those, we are so repressed, eyedea and kristoff and brother ali all talk about politics, that being said, completely different styles, tupac was aa thug poet

  • @rickyp17 That`s true. Political repression has always been a motivation for self awareness. As I like to say: you can`t help the world, until you`ve helped yourself.

  • @SX1995able eexacatly man. I thought that when I was like 10. After hearing just a few underground artist, I knew i was dead wrong. the relization felt epic, mostly cuz I also felt like music like this and its message is very much being surpressed.

  • @SX1995able nah don't put down 2pac dawg him and eyedea got their own unique style, thats what makes both of them amazing

  • @SX1995able I couldn't agree more!!

  • I agree ~ I think 3 people accidently hit the thumb down ~ this is amazing <3 absolutely *AWESOME*

  • The music just keeps me alive..

  • 3 people are too simple to reach this deep. He was just on a whole other plain of thought.

  • r.i.p eyedea concept hiphop at its best!!!!!!!!!

  • This is his best song by far. I've listened to every single one of his songs, all of his freestyles, everything. If you have actually experienced this song, you will know of it's greatness

  • R.Eye.P

  • wow he can really explain how u might feel.. no one can really write it down like him..

  • R.I.P

  • Everyone who digs the message in this song read The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle. It is sort of the same message that he preaches. Also I know Eyedea got a lot of his ideas from a guy called Christian Amerdy, but I can't find anything in a google search. Does anybody know who that guy is. I may have the spelling all wrong.

  • @munck86 his name is krishnamurti

  • why has this song got less than 9000 views????

  • 9,333 now.

This song defined my fucked up teenage years. Eyedea, never stop making music!

  • now your teen years are better? Im in mine right now but I can feel myself coming out of the darkness.

  • Samples Pink Floyd's Great Gig in the Sky

excellent use of a stripped down, sound to drive an emotional record.

  • @DOlogunde What Parts Are From The Great Gig In The Sky?

  • @DOlogunde thought it sounded familiar, sick track, great gig

  • anyone know the sample at the end????

    PLEASE...ANYONE??????

  • this is my favorite fucking song shit is way too real for me i found myself falling to madness so i dove the best thing i ever did was let go this shit helped me get thru my gfs death this song is all too real
