hi, you've probably been asked this a hundred times but what technique did you use in order to learn how to play the piece with both hands? Very nice playing :)
What technique did you use to learning this because I'm wondering whether its easier learning it both hands together, learning each hand then putting them together however you feel, or what, y'know? :)
too bad you dont have a better camera/microphone... i think it is very nice, just can't tell because of the quality of the recording... tempo is perfect.. good job...
this is an amazeing rendition of chopin's Fantasie Impromptu, I myself have been playing since i was 4 and im still alittle fuzzy on this one piece. you play very well. i wish i could play as well as you. I believe you played truly well, practice makes perfect correct?
Lovely. Some of the notes were a bit strong on the attack, at first I thought this might just be the recording but you play them perfectly toward the end.
You're quite tall? Shorter people sitting how you are will need to lean forwards if sitting that far back- you should sit closer to the piano for instruction.
Haha, excellent observation topo :) I am 5'0 and I have to either adjust the bench to it's highest or sit on my foot to play this the best I am able. Putting the bench that far back would be impossible!
Anyone who can play this song is extremely talented for even figuring out the timing and getting the notes right! (I'm one who's trying!!) GREAT WORK! Keep it up!
Congratulations on learning the piece! The only thing that sticks out is that your trying to hard to play it from memory, instead of being expressionistic and playing with heart.
I think you have done a nice job with this really difficult piece, but some passages are not ver clear and you should relax a bit if you are not yet completely prepared to play the fantasie impromptu.
Hey,relax...relax...n relax...remember,dun start to play the song if you haven't get ready yet,n 1 more thing, you're a human, not an object, human got expression, try to do more becouse nobody enjoy pianist playing the piano like a wood.try to play bar 13 with more romance.bar 20 not enough agitate. The beginning of the middle part is a little bit too fast, try to play it with more rubato.I advise you to check out the midi of this song n do more work on it.good lusk
ok mr. star falco... you're probably 15 years old and still play star fox??? let me guess... you can't even play the piano? Thanks for trying.
why don't you put up YOUR RECORDING you scum and try to back up what you state. you're probably just some ignorant 15 year old who stays at home and plays starcraft/starfox. get a life kid
Well I do play starfox, and I am 15, but thats besides the point. I can play fantasie impromptu, too. I'm working on the recording... (i dont have a video recorder...)
I'm just starting to learn this piece. So I'll refrain from being critical. I would like to say that considering the poor sound quality of the video I liked it. No doubt you will get better.
I just wanted to say, you're doing a fine job. No performance is ever perfect, and I'd venture that you already know what you think needs improvement. Musically, this isn't the way I would interpret the piece, but it doesn't have to be! If we all played the same way, works like this would get old fast. I say, keep doing what you're doing; sounds great to me.
Well, you can't honestly expect a piano of all instruments to crescendo through a breve. It isn't really going to do anything but die.
Please indicate what was specifically messy and why you think so. Also, it wasn't my intention for this performance to have tons of emotive response, because it was intended as a teaching aid for playing from the knuckles, not the wrist.
yur right its not perfect.. romantic composers used rubato and a free style to emmphasize the effects this is too straightforward...melody and phrase my ass i couldnt tell the difference btwn accompaniment and voicing in the major part.
It's not perfect, far from it. Any performer who thinks that about a performance doesn't have the capacity to better themself.
To get it to that standard though, it took me about 2 months to learn the music and commit it to memory, and then several months of fine tuning it to bring out the melody and phrase across the bars correctly.
you are right about it not being perfect, but you have really great technique (i mean by physical stamina, percision, etc.) and with a month or so of touching it up, i think it would be beyond perfect. i just finished this piece around christmas last year, and it is very easy to pour your emotions into it, so id imagine that you would do really beautifully, plz post it if you do a revised version
you're good, no kidding, i'm in 7th grade and i just started learning it by myself, seriously, putting this piece together isn't easy, gotta get the right and the left hand parts extremely good and then gotta deal with the different speed of the right and left hand notes
О___________О awesome!

I'm playing this piece too. It's pretty easy once you get the hang of the moving parts, phrasing, and the tempo.

the speed is fine, ignore that person, how much faster do they want it, so you cannot hear the notes anymore?

Good camera placement, showing clearly both hands.
A JOB WELL-DONE.
You have satisfied the objective of an instruction video for pianists below your level and competence.
