  • for a guy who can't read or write music, he is truely a musical genius.

  • what an artist !

  • Of course, playing is simple & singing is a Whole different pattern. Ask Kelli Osborn, hahahhah sicking. He was just scared, playing instrument is a work however singing is gift. Oh yeah difference!

  • @gustasmaximus then fuck off - you have no idea

  • dude is great! im a huge fan im 6 foot 5

  • Go Insane :)

  • In fact, he refuses to learn to read music. Kind of like Paul McCartney.

  • i believe he also plays by ear

  • in listening to stevie in several interviews over the years she has never wanted kids or to be married as far as that goes

  • Rocky Radio...... I hope Linsey does not become an unemployed 99ER without Fleetwood. At least he got a Family at his age. Stevie Nicks is past having children, something a male can get away much longer than a Female who goes beyond child bearing years

  • @rocky4432901 .........what's a 99er?

  • @Andreas748 A 99er is a person who's unemployment funds have run out. In the USA right now a person's limit is 99 weeks of Unemployment funds. They are suppose to get the funds 99 weeks straight in a row. However, it never works out like that. There are always gaps of 3 to 4 weeks were they get nothing. In some cases they lose up to 1500 dollars ( which should not happen ). I have a blog on the 99ER's if U would like me to send it. YouTube frowns on Links in comments. They look at it as spam.

  • Without doubt a must if you like the guitar music.

  • the best guitarist. does it all Without a pick

  • Most underrated guitarist of all time , he is fantastic , love his Rick Turner guitar !

  • NAME OF THE SONG 2:09 PLEASE!!!!

  • @julian831016

go on grooveshark and put in 'gift of screws' and search the songs, its his new album so it should be on it

  • @julian831016 Its called: Down on rodeo, its on the "under the skin" album

  • Guitar god

  • HE'S STILL A GENIUS!!!!!!

    I love him sooo much!!!

  • that's just annoying. don't post at all if you don't have the whole piece!

  • fuck! where's the rest of the video? i was really enjoying this!

  • songs come to me the same way that.......

  • Always plays for the song, never over plays... you know he can cut heads with any hotshot guitar player out there but he is mature and educated to know that the song is first and foremost...

    We love you Lindsey.

  • I would drink his bath water..lmao..love me some Lindsey!

  • @sara31tx

I've never heard this sayin.g Did you make it up?

  • @wikiriwhi lmao someone used to say that to me in high school and I never forgot it!

  • he was never in jefferson airplane, people. jeez

  • He was an original member of Jefferson Airplane and Grace Slick and him didn't get along so he quit. Not everyone knows that.

  • @uselessjoe he was not him and stevie nicks shared the same stage before and they recorded a song with them but that was it and grace slick hates everybody so that might be right

  • @uselessjoe Not everyone knows it because it's not true. I think you might be refering to Jorma Koukenen. You are living up to your name.

  • He was never a member of the Airplane. The original female singer for Jefferson Airplane was Signe Anderson not Grace Slick. Jefferson Airplane got the idea for that name from a stripped down Air Force saber jet that was on the playground near Jefferson High in S.F.

  • @lacewoodstrat ;;; interesting perspective; where did you come up with that? smoking some White Rabbit?

  • @uselessjoe Very true...no one knows that!!!!!!

  • shithole

  • love love love HIM!!!!!

  • He is a Guitar god.

  • love it Lindsey... you are STILL SO SO HOT after all these years too... WOW!

  • Great songwriter, great singer, great musician!

  • He is a genius with a guitar.

  • 85% Bill Pullman 15% Michael Douglas

  • Don't give a shit skillet; the guy and his music has brought me much joy through the years.

  • hahaha

  • Buckingham is genius on many fronts. I love listening to him (and the old Fleetwood Mac stuff) with headphones and just listening to how he "textures" a song. Ever listen to the incredible acoustic track on "Silver Springs?" There's a lot to learn from this guy... singer... songwriter... guitarist... producer...genius!

  • I just saw their show here in Las Vegas may30th....(I had nose bleed seats)

but I dont Miiind!! no I dont Miiiind!

    love you Lindsey!!!!.

  • sorry I missed the gig in Baltimore when he passed thru...Just an incredible talent this guy is

  • A WONDERFUL ARTIST

  • I love you and your music Lindsey! You just get better and better! Please come to Tulsa again.

  • Yes please come back to Tulsa! You and the mac!!!!! u guys were awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Yeah back in May was my first concert ever. It was pretty awesome!

  • mine too! i was looking forward to it ever since hearing about it in January and even had dreams about it. it got started alittle late but the opening of "monday morning" was a pleasent surprise because i'd listened to it a million times on CD and as an mp3 file on my computer before getting the CD but hearing it live was like wow! i cant believe it, this isnt the CD playing this time. this is actually it live!

  • i went to that concert too! it was so amazing. my boyfriend and i were the youngest ones there or at least the youngest that werent dragged along by an older person.

  • I love Lindsey.

  • no real bass to speak of, no lead guitar, and no drums....... heh heh heh......

  • What happened to Charlie, well he passed away in the mid 80's, he was about seven years older than my dad, he used to walk in circles in front of a statue that stands in front of our library, I would always laugh at him back in the 70's when I used to walk home from school, my father would tell me not to laugh, that guy was a genius at one time, he lived with his father who was blind till he passed. Charlie was put in a home where he died, broke! Sad tale but true.

  • He was just not himself, not talking clearly, just talking strangely, my father had seen this before, Charlie was always a real pro, freaky as a horn player, could hit every note on that trumpet without a mouth piece and without using the valves, could play without the valves all together if need be, he was incredible. His mind snapped. Now you take any creative individual like Lindsay, combine it with good looks and tallent, then you have a time bomb, he is more at peace today, I agree.

  • daily for four hours straight to make him practice, when he grew up and was playing semi-pro and according to my Dad, this was during the war, Charlie had landed a gig with Stan Kenton and moved to the coast, and my father had lost touch touch, Charlie ran in to my dad when he was home for his mothers funeral, and ten years had passed, he runs in to my father and started talking to him like it was yesterday, my father then relaized something-

  • Comment removed

  • I will share something that my father told me forv years, and it holds very true, when you are a creative person or an artist weather it be painting, sculpture, singing, dancing etc. The creative mind is always moving, inventing and creating, take for instance Van Gogh removed an ear, my father would tell me often about his fellow musicians, one in particular that he grew up with from his neighborhood he to was a jazz trumpet player, as a young boy his father locked him in his room-

  • He's finally found some peace of mind, man... finally another man from the desperate guy he used to be in the '80s!

  • great video.........i seen lindsey with fleetwood mac this year in toronto, what a show

  • I agree with Chewy,

Lindsey is a once in a life time artist. Good for him to find himself and be happy.

If he comes to town do not miss the show, you forever treasure it.

  • I like how fame was a side effect of Lindsey finding a part of himself through his great music. Not the other way around. I think that he is very brave and insprational. He takes huge risks but he is true to himself. And if there were more players out there like him that played to learn more about yourself and share your experiances with others music would kinda start to look like it used to pretty fast. But anymore ya have to get the sports cars and the ladies etc.

  • Does anyone name the song that he is playing starting at 2:20?

  • It's called "It was You" from the Under the Skin cd being talked about.

  • Thanks for the info.

  • I'm just trying to get to the "Little Lies" video..

  • the man behind fleetwood mac

  • lol yeah

  • He is quite a conductor, isn't he?

  • Lindsey Buckingham is amazing in soo many diff ways!!

wish hed pop over to NZ lol for us 19yr olds that didn get to go to the onli concert tey did bak in the 80s..

i hate how peopl hav to talk crap about such talented legends!! His music is like nothing else and Fleetwoods .. they will b around for mani years to come!! and its great that hes still touring he has soo mani fans wanting to see him soo thats sayin somin ...

  • Lindsey is incredible..such a unique ability to craft songs

  • God Almighty...imagine Lindsey and Mark Knopfler making a record together.....

  • I would fly across the world to see a concert like that!!

  • My favorite two guitarists!

  • @ROCKSTARCRANE

Unfortunately, Lindsey's ego would never allow that to happen. :(

  • my name!

  • you are an angel Lindsey

  • he has a beautiful family

    good for him. :)

  • his wive is hot!!!

  • the thinking man's guitar hero

  • lol VERY true

  • Greatest rock musician, ever. Only Knopfler comes close.

  • I just saw Lindsey on tour last mo, so I am more than alittle amused by the comments on here about his career being over. Buckingham absolutely blew the roof off the place, mixing his classics with his new "Gift of Screws" CD. He got one standing ovation after another, and Buckingham's singing was superior, his live guitar work just jaw dropping. What a shame he's never gotten the praise he deserves, he's singing and playing at the top of his game right now.

  • First off Lindsey's career is in music. This is what he does. Did you all retire when you turned 59? Lindsey is doing what he loves, and if you like his music, then buy one of his albums, and if you don't, then shut up and go home!! I personally like Lindseys music, he is a musical genius.

  • No Jenna, its called 'Githchigooscum'...what a pompous loser man/child.

Sad to see he feels he has a 'dominate role', on lousy 'Youtube'...Oh, where celebs patrol this entire site.

Honey, celebs could not care fucking less what people say about them, let alone this useless site.

Relax, this clown is ,well, just that.

It should have stayed in school,he may not be soooo bitter, sitting in Mother's basement alllll day.

    Jenna

  • Except, gichigoofuck, is an HIV infected male loser, having a mid-life crisis, and has a balding head,no money, no family, and well kids, no fucking life at all.

It sleeps alone ,until it passes on.

    J and Da Girlz

    Believe.

  • Nice to know that Lindsey and FM will be getting together soon. Got to meet him Sept 10 and the music gets better all the time. He's a gracious and very talented man.

  • Going to see him oct4

  • Lindsey will always be one of the best!

  • Yeah, he's done - caring what others think no doubt. It is unfortunate that he keeps on innovating and doesn't know when to quit. Even worse is that he keeps on publishing. Didn't your mom teach you that if you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all? Because to do otherwise really doesn't make a good impression, especially when commenting on one of the most powerful rock influences around.

  • "Didn't your mom teach you that if you can't say something nice then don't say anything at all?" Yes, but only in the context of interpersonal relationships; not opinions pertaining to public figures. I guess you would think of me as a "mean" person for being honest about how I feel in this regard. I do not recognize as valid your proscription on my free thinking and commentary. I believe in an open marketplace of ideas, particularly on the Internet.

  • Yeah, you're right, and I apologize, guess I was just grouch last night...sorry...

  • I don't know why but that 'stick a fork' comment irritated me but it did, Lindsey has skills that are so subtle its scary. He's a sonic genius, mere mortals have difficulty with that...

  • It irritated you because you either really like him, or you ARE him. This is not a joke. Celebrities troll youtube just like you and me. They tend to be extremely ego-driven people, and LB probably more than most. At any rate, don't let it bother you. I'm sure you despise some artists that I think are brilliant. It just means that anyone who works hard to become noteworthy in their field will always have an audience. Nothing wrong with that.

  • You're right of course, guess I was just grouchy that night, my apologies....

  • Thanks, but not necessary. You must be an accomplished guitarist, based on your favorites and username.

  • Been playing it long enough at least. If you send me a message via my page then I'll send ya one of my tunes and you can judge for yourself (no forks please! (I think I'm an hold hippie too!)...Take care.

  • If you don't like him, go listen to your sucky wristcutter music and leave us alone.

  • "sucky wristcutter music" If you are talking about maudlin, melodramatic, perpetually sad music, ala Niel Young, Joni Mitchell, et al, I hate it. But don't you think this guy and F.Mac. fit into that category? He and Nicks still look longingly into each other's eyes over a drug-induced trist that ended a lifetime ago, and you eat it up. Who's the real wristcutter?

  • But, Rhiannon is right. I shouldn't be posting broadly negative comments about him. Nothing is served by this, and it's disrespectful to those of you who like and relate to his work. I wish I hadn't done it.

  • wow gitchigoomi - that was really nice of you, thank you for being a big enough person to admit this. I wish others in this fucked up world were big enough to swallow their pride and move forward like you did. Peace!

  • Why are you here? Dont you have anything else to do than you go into these sites and put rude and unnecessary messages? Obviously Not...get a life you loser.

  • im the one that started the saying that there was gonna be a 2009 tour, a couple months back, and yes it might include sheryl crow, idk. but from the words of mick himself, christine will be touring also with fleetwood mac next year! from wut i know, stevie said that if christine didnt tour with FM in '09 she was out of FM, so chris accepted, and the tour will begin in fall 2009

  • from what I understand, 2009 is certain. What's uncertain is sheryl crow. I think she will be involved, but how much is uncertain. I think Lindsey wants to do a new album, but he said he doesn't want to do the production on it again.

  • Sheryl will not be involved. Hearing about Sheryl joining Fleetwood Mac on tour was just as much a surprise to Lindsey and Stevie as it was too us.

  • Thanks for sharing, but why is it cut short?

  • Wow!! Any dates yet? How did you here the confirmation?

  • Thanks. Been waiting for someone to reply. I heard he is reuniting with F.M any truth? I am sure with all these rumors if it is not true I am sure they will decide to do one. Ha Rumors greatest album of all time.

  • theres going to be a fleetwood mac tour in 2009 with him in it and have shearl crow insted of chris mcvie

  • around

  • What is the name of the song aroun 1:44?

  • down on the rodeo and its a great song not much info on it though i use napster and he recently removed it as a availiable download i was so disapointed

  • He is a genius.

  • He certainly will always be good looking I would imagine, but I really love his mind.....really I DO:)I do!

  • He's always going to be good looking no matter how old he gets.

  • I somewhat agree, but I think he gets better as he gets older!!!!!

  • Yeah he is still hot at 57, will probably still be hot at 97. Can't say that about all men.

  • Lindsey..you are da man..Keep it up..I've always loved your music...My friend and I.are making music, and hopefully some day..we'll be as great as you..take care..Peace and Love..Derek

  • The music on this video is so original! Thanks Lindsey. This stuff is great!

  • I think "Under the Skin" is Lindsey's best solo album. I hope he does a DVD of his recent tour -- he really is AMAZING live.

  • Are you sure he's touring???

I would love love love to see him .

Think he'll come to Australia ??

I hope. Thanks for posting !!!

  • I'm blown away by how fantastically good this album is. This is my 1st Buckingham solo cd and after listening to this, I can't wait to get Out Of The Cradle for more excellent music - the kinda music you don't hear anymore.

  • Out of the Cradle fricking rocks. I think it's his best one, honestly.

  • lindseys a legend!

  • I am reading Storms from Lindsay's ex-Carol Ann Harris and I am right now scouring the web listening to Fleetwood Mac/Lindsay Buckingham songs.

  • can you tell me what song is at 1:37 please

  • thats "down on rodeo" off the new album...

  • cheers. i think i'll make a purchase of this album. i've only just recently become a fan of fleetwood mac and now i'm going through lindseys solo work! this album sounds immense!

  • be sure to get "law and order", "go insane", and "out of the cradle" while youre at it... and hes coming out with a new album and tour soon!!!

  • me to --Thats the best book I have just got it for Christmas-- dude-- look at the footage here of Robin an stevie-- the 77 rumors tour wow!!--Its very very well written-- I was lookin for the Lindsay video with carol ann its not on here--yet--

  • It is a really good album actually. I must give it another listen tonight!

  • I really love the album, Under the Skin.

He's so right about all he said regarding making the guitar the only real instrument that gets the focus... and it making it so much more intimate... like you're sitting there in a room with him (now there's a dream I know I've had) and he's playing these songs for you.

  • First to comment. What the hell? Where's the rest?

  • Great album - listened to it in a store the other day! Buckingham at his best again!
