I use a few different mics, like a true condenser, as in this clip, and Sm-57.. I also use a snowflake USB for online lessons and I have a ZOOM H2 that I can interface thru the computer that sounds really good. The 'best' banjo tone on a computer will come from using an interface with a 'real' mic.
Thats guys-appreciate the nice comments. Yes, I am "self-taught (although all of us copy our fav players, so we copy them and then add our own, so no one is really "self taught"). Tha was just an improvised version for recoding purposes. I never know what will pop out, haha.

Wow, what an ace! How long you been playing? I take it you weren't self taught, and was that your own arrangement? That was impressive.
