Stop crying that old ''I wish I lived that time''. Beatles is part of our musical history, its timeless and we should enjoy it as it is. Glad we can listen those good old songs from sextees this easily nowadays. But our time is our time and its up to us how we live it and how we make it. I'm a 21 century's child and proud of it.
From this video clip it is now apparent to all viewers born after 1990, that George Harrison WAS the lead guitarist for The Beatles. George's Day Tripper guitar riff is nicely spotlighted in a camera close-up so everyone can see who the Beatles' guitar hero was...I myself was in elementary school when The Fab Four broke up...
George Harrison's guitar on this song set the tone for guitarists from that point on. If you want to learn how to be technically awesome at guitar, this is the blue print to follow.
On October 9th we will all watch "Imagine" in honor of the greatest singer ever's birthday. Let's give him the best birthday present ever: the highest viewed video on YouTube!! Let's give him what he deserves and what Justin Bieber does not deserve to have!
Copy and paste to all John lennon/beatles videos and all music videos let's get this noticed quickly!
@destury119 Very good sense of humor you have, in all seriousness, you want a good cover version of this song look no further than Jimi Hendrix's version, only one that does the Beatles justice, of course its Hendrix so I suppose that's a given.
Love the Beatles, I'm a 16 year old musician and I write and record my own music by myself, please have a listen on my channel! Tracks 1, 2 and 4 are light songs. Revive real instruments! Thanks.
The only thing I dont like about this is that they are not really playing live. Notice the guitars are not plugged in and they dont have any mic's to sing into. But a great piece of history never the less.
I'm amused that today people learn of the Beatles in humanities class... I am thrilled that I was a teenager when Beatlemania was happening, then the whole 60s music unfolded. I often wonder how Mozart would have weaved renditions of this 'common music', as he did in his time.
@christinajohnson206 it was very common back then for groups to "lip sync" to the recording on TV shows. Especially if they were touring a lot it would rest their voices. There were some groups back then that "never" played live on TV they just mouthed the words to the song (lip-syncing). One example is the once famous Beatles rivals "the Dave Clark 5"
i can't believe that there is no Beatles video without any stupid comments about who is better and who's worse! Seriously the Beatles are more than awesome (i can't even put it in words)! Can't we just leave it at that?
I still think the instrumental middle section is very remarkable for those years. Listen to the solo guitar that goes up always on the 2nd beat of the bars. Great! No other band could do it at that time.
Oh indeed I agree with you guys on those screaming idiodic girls screaming. What was the point of that? How could you possible hear with all that shrieking going on. Even back then watching them on Ed Sullivan it irritated the hell out of me. I was like shut up all ready please and I'm a female!
@blueagate I liked the screaming girls. It always added a kind-of excitement, a feminine type energy that complemented the masculine energy of their music. Better than seeing a bunch of bored girls in the audience.
