I never knew of Billy until I became such a fan of Boondock Saints. I come here several times a week and watch a bunch of these vids. This is some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen.

Yes, that's Robin in front row at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. It was an HBO Special introducing Billy Connolly's 1st appearance in America, but HBO refused to give him his own special without a Big Name Comedian opening, or headlining. Whoopie Goldberg was the comedian who pitched Billy to HBO, they relented but only if she opened. That's the part you don't ever see unless u were lucky enough to tape it way back in the 80s. Billy obviously stole the show w/his brilliance

I believe this was from 1987. I used to have it on tape. It was an HBO comedy special titled Whoopi Goldberg presents Billy Connolly. If anyone knows or has a copy I have been trying to purchase it for the last 3 years. I can't find it anywhere!
