Yes, that green mottled camouflage paint looks very good, considering you (obviously) used a paintbrush, and not an airbrush :-) You know, if you would like to add an extra dimension to your painted models, a very easy and cheap way to do this, is to use some normal black/dark water paint (those small plastic watercolour disc`s we all know from kindergarden) and paint a stroke or two on all of the recessed panel line details of the model.
Do this some time after you have finished painting the model itself, but before you have added the decals (only if your model comes with recessed panel lines, obviously) Most modern kit`s do nowadays (even Revell ;-)
Wipe of the excess watercolour with a wet/damp cotton swab preferably paralell to the recessed lines, AFTER the water colour has dried. If you do choose to test this technique, you should take some extra care when painting your model. Mix a thinner blend of paint than you normally would. This is because you do not want to much of the (thick) modelling paint to get into the recessed panel lines, where you rather would want the dark water colour to go ;-)
I am asuming that you do not own an airbrush yet. I never knew about this technique when i was younger, but i wish i did, because this really is a big step in advancing with your modelling skill`s. TRUST ME, THIS WORK`S GREAT !!!
Brilliant Focke-Wulf kit and finished model.. :) :) I will build the TAMIYA 1/72 Fw 190 A-3 soon, but it won't be the normal Luftwaffe markings on it... :) :)
Did you had any problems with the fit of the parts? My Model fitted just perfect.
Nice Paintjob at all
