The roller skate key was used to adjust the one size fits all skates to your shoes. Just in case anyone wonders. This is shown in video. The shoes were of sturdy construction. Saddle shoes more than likely. Saddle shoes will come back in style soon.
I believe I heard them called that , I'm not sure. If anyone studies anthropology, the modern day skate board can trace its DNA to that pair shown in the video.
A fun video..cute song and pics'..I especially liked the unique balloon car. This video made me wish I was a kid again. I used to love roller skating! :D
dear doug, what kind of original video you do,it is incredibile. i like the song, but i like more the pics.well done. 5 stars and in my play list to you dedicated --orlando-

This is an excellent video. It brings back memories. I really liked Melanies voice. The children at 1:40 are real cute. Top rated Mucho ★★★★★★★★★★

What a creative and sweet video this is!
Melanie had such a quirky vocal style and I love her music so it's great to hear this song again.
Love the personality that you brought to this song with your images...really great!
I put it in my favorites for a 'cheer up' song :)

Thanks Anne,
Melanie did have a rather quirky vocal style, but it was certainly to her advantage, as proven by this one of a kind, top of the chart, hit.

This was great and I never liked the song either.
I was about 10 when it came out, but as you say tastes change and now I like it :-)

Thanks, Ginny,
Hopefully, when our tastes change, they change for the better. At least, I'd like to think so.

Never heard this tune but honestly, I love the beat... there's something in it. Thanks for uploading.

This song was recorded in 1971, by Melanie.
Perhaps you weren't around then. I disliked it very much when it first came out. Now, I love it. Funny how ones taste can change.

Nice editing, good pictures. I like the mix of eras shown. And, I hadn't heard this song in years. Brought back a lot of memories.
