The roller skate key was used to adjust the one size fits all skates to your shoes. Just in case anyone wonders. This is shown in video. The shoes were of sturdy construction. Saddle shoes more than likely. Saddle shoes will come back in style soon.

This song was recorded in 1971, by Melanie.

Perhaps you weren't around then. I disliked it very much when it first came out. Now, I love it. Funny how ones taste can change.
