I own one, this thing absolutely plays 7" unless its broke of course. The whole is for the grounding wire, which keeps it from humming. You can buy one on Ebay for cheap. Search for Technics grounding or ground wire.

I dont know, but its from an album called 'Two pianos today' Thats the album he used to demo the turntable. Its easy to find on ebay.

ok mine is really staticy this could be cause its dirty or it could be the fact that their is a cable missing in the back it looks like their is a hole in the back next to the power cable and the stereo out cable I don't know it their is supposed to be something their , please help me !?

I own one. It's DD not quartz but servo controlled. Servo corrects after the fact, quartz prevents it from happening in the first place. Sounds surprizingly good and in some respects (especially bass) I prefer it over my SL-10 although I'm not suggesting it can beat an SL-10 overall sonically.

This looks almost exactly the way my Hitachi unit looks. Same color, arm built into the cover too. Auto size, speed plus repeat and a bunch of other cool features.
