My immediate family moved from San Angelo several years ago, but the rest of the family is still there. When we leave the DFW area to go back "home" and visit, its like going back in time 20 years. And that's a good thing. Friendly people, folks actually waive back, people are laid back, the Dunbar Cafe, the Western Sky Steak House, Rodeo week, and so on. Great times! If there were jobs I'd pack my family up and go back.
i love this town Gob bless this town...u know u can go anywhere in Texas but when your here it feels like your in the promise land God likes this town...just look at the sunset...the river lake and hills this place is just amazing :) wouldnt live anywhere else

I remember it raining mud, the bars around campus(Friday HH at Crystal Confectionary,), Christmas at Fort Concho and huge cheeseburgers at Zentner's Daughter. The old man was still alive and passing out apples at the front door. Fine town San Angelo.

Angelo has mass production of meth (the illegal substance, just prefer the short term), teen pregnancy statistics are higher then ever. Ranking nationally as of a few years ago the highest percentage of meth production in one city put us as third in all of America.
I grew up in this place. In a trailer park where my parents produced speed. There are cold faces and numb souls, but this city's heart still beats as long as one person cares. I plead, god bless the broken. Love to all.
@kinglighter San Angelo is the best town in Texas. I have lived here all my life and its a hell of a place. Yeah, it has changed a little. But there is a lot of good stuff here in Angelo. So theres a lot of pregnant people. Who gives a crap! Its an awesome place :) AND HOME!

i lived in san angelo all my life an I can totally relate to this song ive sang it many a time...but ill never live there again all my family is there an i may visit but san angelo is not the town it used to be

Once upon a time I thought of nothing but getting the hell out of San Angelo, and I ran off to Austin and San Antonio every chance I could get, but looking back I miss that place. Angelo is a hell of a town....
