  • shaky hands!!!!!!!!!!

  • Haha, you make the errors exactly in the same moments when I was making them when I was learning to play it xD keep learning and you will master it! it's already nicely played :)

  • Great job , im gonna learn this song.

  • if you wonder why is it difrent from other minues it is beacouse the g and the major or minor

  • if you want to learn to play it then go to music school i am 11 and i know how to ply it better than him i am 3rd grade in music school

  • @Bartol35 What's the point of bragging with it? Many great musicians haven't graduated a music school and can play much better than you :)

  • sorry.. i dont know anything about piano or musicians or so.. but why does this sound different from other "bach minuet" I search? I find this one better imo :)

  • @TatsumiHijiki Because bach composed hundreds of minuets :)

  • no non noooooooooo

  • im learning this for my test

  • This is the best video i've seen so far~! Lovely! ^^ <3

  • Grait I am just learning this song :D :D :D :D keep up the good work (hope I will be as good as you)

  • you have a few mistakes on 1:12 - 1:16

  • thank you thank you!!!

  • Id be happy if could play as 'badly' as you do. :)

    Keep going. Its good

  • wonderfully played.

  • Wonderfully played

  • what happened on 1:12 ???

  • can i have the sheets?

  • good one

  • First off this is Minute in G minor / To jwv76 that is the way it is suppost to be played

  • @clydespeed does it sound like minor? no it doesnt, its major

  • You are losing the key signature at 1:10 and at 1:48, both times you played that part, the eighth note pattern at the end of the B section you played F natural when it's F sharp in the key signature (G major= one sharp = F#). Pencil in the sharp sign before the F on the sheet music, also practice some scale exercises in G major, like Hanon or something similar

  • loved it. Your fingers seemed stressed out though. calm down and enjoy the piece.

  • You play very well. I always wanted to learn how to play the piano, but I don't have a gift for playing music, only enjoying it!

  • Practise more to prevent forgetting any part of the song =]

  • I think you should play it a little faster, but it sounds great

  • @FryderykFC Its fast enough already! O.O A minuet is a dance from the Modern Era and it was for slow and elegant movements, since women wore those big dresses..lol. I know its hard to listen to sometimes, but when you get used to it, its a brilliant piece..

  • @luchofl I know, I've played it, but it still think it should be played a little faster. I guess it depends on who plays it.

  • you play it so fluent and nice!

  • Sounds good to me!

  • is your piano a roland one, look like mine xD

  • Those triplets at the end of the first part. It seems like you are playing 16-16-8, not accual 8-triplets. Work on that, and it will be very good :)

  • Fantastico bravo!

  • im playing this for my retical

hopefully it sounds as nice as yours :]

  • so am i!

  • LOL really? good luck! :)

  • thanks!

  • that'd be fine.

    its not carbomb??

    Keep trying

  • Melodía muy hermosa, errores desaparecerán con la práctica. ¡Bien hecho!

  • nicely done! mistakes will fade away with the practice, don't worry

  • wow! love it!

  • Hey, that's pretty good.

  • Comment removed

  • oh I see. It would be good if you can show me as well :)

Thanks a lot for the tips.

  • What the heck do you mean? It's not out of tune, at all. It's an electrical piano, right?

    LOL.

  • k :P lawlz

  • sbagli comletamente 2 volte la stessa cosa

prima di mettere i video su youtube cerca di fare bene i pezzi se nn capisci xke sn italiano non importA

  • You play good. What grade are you?

  • I'm learning this song now! You play beautifully! Keep up the good work, I'm trying to follow your fingers to play it the same way you do :)

  • Don't copy my mistakes though ;)

  • It's cool. Don't worry about the mistakes it's first step to the perfection

  • Thanks. Hope one day I can play as good as you do.

  • That music makes me fell happy and sometymes make me think...

  • good to know that. Enjoy.

  • QUE MAL TOCA

  • how oldr u?

  • One last thing: you need the f# as part of the D chord, the dominant chord that brings you back to the original key of G. Big picture always helps in memorization. Good luck!

  • Thanks. This is very helpful indeed.

  • Memorize the form of the piece, learn about the dance form Minuet and its dance-like feeling, play the left hand in chord form. These tools will help you realize where you are in the piece. Furthermore, it will help you ignore less important notes while playing them in the style of the piece. The missing f# in the LH will come more easily if you do the chordal practice as well as realize its role in the form.

  • Awesome! I learned what I was doing wrong by watching you and now I've got it, but not as good as you yet! Thanks for videoing yourself. It helps us beginners. I only pray one day I am half as good as you are on the piano!

  • I learned that on the violen.

  • Ouch... it's f sharp towards the end where you have d, e, f# in left hand. But otherwise, which year are you?

  • hey thanks for your comment-!! i m learining this one right now!! its nice to meet people who plays the piano too!!

  • haha, funny..I make the same mistakes as you...seems I'm not the only one...but with practice it's get better!!

  • Nervous with camera right? I know how it feels. I play very well but if my wife gets into the room I can play no more ;-) But keep going, you are a good pianist.

  • Thank you for understanding me :)

I can play no more even it is just the camera there...

  • Not thattt bad...Lots of room for improvement, especially throught the middle section, you also need to atleast tryy and put dynamics to the music and put some sort of feeling in to the song, even a little bit of life would be better. Good luck in your exam...i performed this for my exam today.

  • Thanks for your comments. I will keep trying.

  • nice playing !

you might want to add a little more dynamics though.

  • Thank you. I will try.

  • great...:D im playing this minuet for my exam form piano :D

    i love it :D

  • Good luck to your exam :)

  • Good playing!Very Fluent!

  • Thanks. Not very though but I am getting there.

  • keep going and you will definitely be better than me.

  • I am learning this pice now. I am not yet as good as you. How long are you playing?

  • I liked your performance

  • Great performance

could you tell me the exactly name of the score?

or maybe you could send me the score?

    thanks

  • Sorry it is in a book and I don't have a scanner at the moment. The name is exactly as the title. Thank you for your compliments.

  • I love this piece so have you got the music sheet ???

    Thanks

  • Is in g major¡

  • your really good ,! :D

    im learning this piece .

  • it is you'RE....retard

  • nice playing man, just started grade 3 and chose this piece from list A :D u played excellantly :D looking forward to mastering this piece =]

  • Checa las alteraciones accidentales que le pusiste...............nooooooooooooooooooo

  • some mistakes but not enough to disrupt this beautiful piece. Great job!

  • Between 1:12 and 1:18 you are playing several wrong notes with the left hand and perhaps one wrong note with the right hand. Go check the partiture. I like your tempo, though.

  • Thanks for letting me know. You are absolutely right. I just don't have time to record it again:(

  • my favorite :) i love to play this on the piano. you did a good job, man :)

  • Very nice...

If i can give you an advice (excuse me for my orrible english), no about the song, keep you fingers more curve and don't touch the white key between the black one, but more down.

  • Thanks for your advice. I will try your tricks.

  • I was probably distracted when you made mistakes because I didnt hear any. but you where good, nice job.

  • Thank you. So nice to hear that although I know I am far from good:)

  • dude u got the right tempo and no problem about ur mistakes just keep practising..i only know the G ones..:P nice though

  • Thanks. I will.

  • I just finished this one. I really liked it. You're left hand's a little disconnected. I found it very helpful to play hands separately. You end up knowing the separte parts just as well as the entire piece. It really comes together that way.

When you're a little more confident, make sure you've got the dynamic contrast...the main theme is forte and the middle is piano with a crescendo and decrescendo around the second line of the second page. It makes the piece more interesting.

  • Thank you for your kind suggestions. I will try to do it. I know I stop making any excuses but still hard to find out some time to practice.

  • Wow, you're really willing to take critism!! That's amazing!! I'm shocked that there are people like you out there who are so nice about stuff!

  • I'm doing this right now for my grade 3. You're really good!

  • Good luck and thanks.

  • MAGNIFICENT!

  • Thank you :)

  • Hello? Where is your left hand F sharp??

I only played like, 4 days and well see if I can get the video up tomorrow...

  • Yeah, I noticed that. It sounds a little off, but it's really beautiful otherwise. Keep with the piano!

  • You guys are brilliant. It takes long for me to learn things.

  • trust me it takes me longer. and that is better than i will probably evr be able to play

  • heyy i play piano too! how old are you ??

  • interesting version of Minuet, never heard.

    ...and beautiful hands;)

  • not minuet in g

  • the only considerable mistake i heard was the use of F major in the eighth notes at 1:10 and 1:50, it should have been F sharp, but other than that i think you did well

  • Thanks. A lot of kind ppl have pointed that. Shame one me did not make a correct one.

  • This is awesome I've NEVER heard this version of minuet!

  • Absolutely fantastic, I didn't notice any mistakes at all. I like playing along with this recording on my violin. Excellent work!

  • Thank you. There ARE mistakes but I know I need to make a correct one here but always easier to say than to do.

  • I mess up EVERYTHING for a recording but I barly noticed any mistakes so gooood job

  • Thank you. Recording your own performance is never easy.

  • Isnt this piece a bit easy for you?

try something easy but still good job for this piece

  • Thanks. I am trying to get more time to practise. For this piece I know I still get a lot to learn.

  • well played!

  • this is not minuet in g it is a diferent one

  • There're many versions to Minuets in G Major

  • Bach did not make extravagant names for his songs. He named them things like Menuet (which is a dance), Musette, French Suite, etc. For each of these generic titles, he often wrote them in many different keys. Usually, it is indicated with a catalogue number BWV following the title to distinguish. There are atleast two different minuets in g, for example.

  • yeah dats sooooo different!!

  • beautiful! i learned how to play the simple version tho.. since i am 11 years old... can u think of telling me the notes?

  • at 1:05 you played natural D as D# (right hand)

at 1:10 you played F# as F natural (left hand)

otherwise it was perfect :)good job:D!

  • yes that would be the definition of perfect:

take out the bullshit, we have perfection

    what isn't perfect to u?

  • jeez it was only constructive criticism

  • how u play tht =[

i wish i could play it

wher u get thi notes 4 it

btw, nice vid an song =D

  • My advice... 1:10 sounded to minor to me... look at the music and try again

  • yep solarlunarxiii. not only that but it's repeated later at 1:48. I agree look at the music again. This is sorta what it's like, and (maybe?) it's a little slow too. You have most of it right (slow maybe) but that part during the build up back to the "theme" is definately wrong. Check the music, it might be a natural or sharp that u haven't noticed. ;) sounds good by the way. Keep trying!!!

  • Oh, and DEFINATELY, buy a metronome to help you! ;) good luck mate!

  • one mistake on the second part bur you are so cool

  • Good, 8.75.

  • Thanks! So kind of you.

  • well, you had some mistakes in the second half, but it was beautiful. i love this peice, and i am playing it for my solo and ensemble in band on the french horn

  • Few mistakes in the second part.

  • Sounds real nice, smooth and yes, I also mess up with the tape rolling. I wonder what could cure that? Maybe set up a cheap tape recorder and just leave it on all the time whenever you practice to shed your fear of it.

OK, I can see you've been told at least twice here but just to be sure--in measure 29 with the left-hand 1/8th notes you're playing the f natural when it should be f sharp.

  • Thanks. Seems like a good idea.

Thank you for reminding me the mistake. I am just too lazy to record more...

  • nice vid

im actually doing this for my nyssma piece

    :)

  • Cherry,

Things change a lot when the recording starts!!! I still deal with that even after 20 years of recording (engineering/producing) and performing. I like to have a "warm up" of a silly song as a way to break the ice. Play chopsticks and then a bad chord intentially... A Monty Python song or whatever just to make you de-focus from recording.

    All the best!

    sean

  • Sean,

Thank you for your suggestions. I think I may need long time to warm up...

  • Thats Pretty Awsome. xD

Does anyone no what to search for the REAL Minuet by Bach, i have to evaluate it for homework!! =O

  • i didn't hear any mistakes

  • Your best is certanly the best! :):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):):) I have to play this song for a solo at school and this is probably the best i'v heard it being played!

  • that was really good i thought i would never play this song but after u played it i play this song way better than i used to it helped a lot just don't make your hands so strait

  • Oh, I am glad to be helpful and thanks for your suggestion. Let's keep practising and we will play better and better...

  • I keep making mistaks as well all the time, it seems a lot harder as soon that camera is running LOL

Good luck to you, you're doing fine!

  • Yes. So strange even if I know nobody knows who I am and I still felt nervous and made a lot of mistakes.

  • good

just loosen up and uh.....slow down at the start and ull do fine

  • Thank you. Once slow down I feel like making more mistakes:)

  • I am sure you are doing a great job. And hope some day I can also play way better than this:)

  • really good. you just need to loosen up your wrists then you'll be playing it perfectly.

  • Thank you. I just cannot loosen up. I know I need more practice. Also the camera make me nervous.

  • you awesome!!!!!

im still tryin to learn this song too

  • keep going and surely you can give a great one

  • Tempo is good :) Sry.. only little mistakes :P I am learning this, and it was very helpful, thx

  • happy that I can be helpful.

  • I wish I had something even close to the dexterity you display in that video. Much respect to you for your effort. Keep it up.

  • Thank you. I have stopped for a while. Life is not easy. But now I am trying to get back to it.

  • I accidentally marked your message as spam. Life isn't that great for anyone right now, but all you can do is hope. Don't stop playing because of that. It's a good outlet.

  • Very nice. Keep practising, you're in the good way. =)

  • i can play that... so nice..

  • i can this on sax

  • HIIIIII MARTINA!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • very nice. I love this song.

  • No worries about your mistake mate, it is good that you've been brave enough to present your play ;) ( no sarcasm in it, lol )

I play piano either, and I am actually on the level of yours, the best Bach's thing i can play is Badinerie - practising makes perfect ;)

    Regards

  • Awesome, I tried to learn to play piano but I couldnt use both hands at the same time and my willness was too weak, now I play Bass Guitar, check out my videos :)

  • dude i can play this.ur playing too fast

  • very good, very nice dynamic...i think i've listened the song with a faster tempo

  • its bach

  • Hmmm... much better what i have watched from another player on youtube...

expression and dynamic are saticficed... hehe, but you made a mistake while closing to ending...

what is the brand of your piano?

  • KAWAI

  • very good!

  • Great job, you doing wel. A few mistakes is nothing. You are a good player, keep going with the piano. :D

  • Thank you. I definitely will.

  • Thank you for your encouragement. I am working on it now. Hope to improve.

  • can you share the piano sheet?
