  • I wish I can see video III.. Its not even playing on your website.. Maybe try another flash player.. You didnt mention in the video or on ur website how big the room was....? Can you please tell us. Thanks.. Sweet setup by the way...

  • how big is the room?

  • u need to get a few movie posters hung up :D

  • Sweet nice and clean only thing maybe look into some amplification for every channel believe me you will be happy. Come join bluray.com

  • I have a Dynex 9" portable dvd player that I use with Bose buds.

  • I just realized your not using an amp? Is the marantz able to power those m60s at reference? or near it?

  • If you go with an HTPC (video is old so im not sure if you have) you could use MyPreMovies to set up slides, audio/songs, trailers, and movies to play! Really neat little tool :)

  • How do your speakers handle the "DTS HD-MA BOMB" that the 8002 is responsible for?

Do you still Bitstream? or have you decided to let the player do the decoding and just send the PCM multi channel to the Marantz?

I just bought the Marantz ud7006 and I must say that the difference when running 7.1 cables to the 8002's analog inputs and running in audyssey. mode.. is huge. I recommend you give it a try.

  • My home theater just became pretty lame....

  • stewart isnt the best anymore now si black diamond are

  • I love this set up. Very clean. Just how I would do it. Great job. On my way to my personal theater.

  • where do you sleep?

  • imagine porn on that

  • get a ps3...and use that for blu ray instead :D

  • 4K for a projector! daaaaamn son!

  • What do you do for a living?

  • OMG THAT IS LORD OF THE RINGS! BTW EPIC sound system btw is your room sound proof also have you improved anything since then.

  • If I had that room I would make every day dubstep day.

  • playing video games on projectors is awesome I have one. I really sugest though that you invest in the top quality

  • I love your home theater system,. How much did you pay for your wonderful theater?.

  • mines bigger

  • nice:D

  • um .. I tried going on Part III on ur website but it said ''This video is no longer available due to a copyright clam from FOX''.. :(

  • @katrina374 He just show'd 4 seconds of the film in action

and now fox is being a little baby

  • Your speakers look exactly like mine! Should I make a video of my home theater?

  • Imagine COD on this?

  • @ArrowAaad I can, COD MW3, I feel a Home theater war commin on.

  • Great set up, theatre chairs and screen very impressive. The home theatre forums like AVS and so on are a great learning curve too. Some of the home theatres at AVS are amazing. Home theatre is a great hobbie and can be very expensive. In fact there is no end to the possibilities and thats what keeps me in the game.Cant wait for my AVPA1HD processor upgrade in october.Exciting times thats for sure.

  • @ReallyReallyRaw ... Actually it is the cinema that makes the movie. watch a movie on a 51cm with tv audio sound be a crap or good movie. play the exact same movie on my Denon receiver and on my 120" screen you would laugh at the 51cm tv and sound. and trust me you can't go back. I laugh at any small tv I see now because I don't see why more people don't buy cinema screens. Just last week I bought 2x 4 seated cinema sofas and I saw a couple buying a 32" TV, man I felt so sorry for them..

  • what are the measurements on your room

  • Basic home theater system. Not Bad, but not real good. Nice explanation of your components. I will give you a thumbs up. All that matters is if you like what you have and are happy with it, and also if it meets your viewing and listening expectations. To all those watching this video, there are ways to save money and get performance without "so called" best this best that brands. Beware companies that spend more money advertising there products that building them.

    Thank you.

  • @kubrik72 ... dude you sound arrogant.....all your "expert" comments make you sound like a total douche. i bet many of your "friends" feel the same way i do about your air of superiority. you come accross as a total bag of hot ass air....

  • very nice set up.

  • What is your rooms dimensions? LxWxH? Thanks

  • Hey John, you are the BEST man .. you really inspired me. Me and my wife have been looking for ideas how to design our family theater room ... MAN YOU GOT IT. Also, we liked your house .. you are really LIVING my BRO!!!

  • id rather have like a snooker table

  • I have the Axiom M80's V3 coupled with the Axiom EP500 sub. I'm loving these speakers, and glad to see you enjoy them as well.

  • I have the Axiom M80's also. Man, they sound good. :D

  • What are the dimensions of your room?

  • I know this may seem rude but ive always dreamed of having my own theater like you. And well im a junior in highschool and i want to know of a career that makes decent money so i can fulfill my dream please respond thank you! :)

  • Wow!....I can't believe Fox actually deleted your video, that's just ridiculous!.....but I still enjoyed the video because even in 2011 this home theatre is king of epicness.

  • I just painted my wall white for my projector....

  • If i had the money

  • O...M....G WOW

  • Nice home theatre! I'm always looking for decor ideas for my lobby, I like the trash can, I never even thought of something like that.

As for Fox deleting your video you have to understand, these people are idiotic morons that don't know free advertising when they see it. So they tend to shoot themselves in the foot and eliminate the free advertising.

I'm going to eventually do a video presentation of my theatre. I don't know if I will be as good at it as you have done however.

  • thats how a theater room should be if i have more money and a real room with real space it some day have that but ATM i have shit all room with all the stuff i have :(

  • how much were the seats and where did u get em?

  • Could you please kindly tell me the name of the color you put on the walls? and the color on the baseboard trims. I am building a home theatre too and I really like the color you put in your home theatre.

  • lord of the rings ... god best movie, i want to build a cinema to watch it

  • Amazing Porn Room

  • Dude you need to hide your speaker wires, looks trashy

  • clean high bass more me mate :) id have my cross over set to normal and the volume set to high on subwoofer

  • Lord of the Rings is the best trilogy that has ever been made! In fact they are the best movies ever made.

  • Just curious, how come you didn't go with a Runco projector?

  • You are a very inspireing person...Im going to build one just because of your videos...Thankyou

  • pfffff ...you dont have the pop corn with chocolate !!!

  • Great home theater you have.

Too bad that FOX was so bitchy.

  • i would smoke a J, and watch a movie in this theater

    thumbs u if u agree

  • This is awesome. I'm totally gonna make love to your home theater system.

  • hey dude wat do u do 4 a job u must b rich lol

  • Nice home theater! Check out my little setup, just updated it yesterday =)

  • Thats the price for living in a hole like the SUA or i mean USA which is copywrite heaven to these idiots.

Must me nice having all thaose movies got a dman good job ha or just pretty rich.

  • Great job explaining all the components.

  • marantz is the best our reciver is marantz and all our speakers are polk audio

  • im sorry they erased your video 3

  • If you ever get the chance, listen to the Polk Micro Pro 4000 subs. They are incredible. About $1700 a piece--but incredible.

  • @golfing22002 Have you heard of the Buttkicker? it wont completely replace a subwoofer of course, but it will certainly give you something that a subwoofer can't, the Home Theater version goes to 5hz, which is insane to say the least.

  • @1981z28camaro My best friend has the Buttkickers, I like them ok, and considered them at first, but in the end after I watched a few movies with them, I decided against them. They seemed too distracting. They are very, very cool though. And honestly, with my two Micro Pro 4000 Polk Subs, I'm not sure my family could take much more. Lol. By the way, you have a very cool theater. I'm actually getting ready to get a Glass Display for the front of my theater entrance. I got that idea from you.

  • @golfing22002 hmm, well personally I love using the Buttkicker, I have the gaming version tho, so it doesn't go as low as the HT version.

also your friend might not have had it adjusted properly, or had it cranked, I never turn mine up all the way, because honestly I find it just too much.

BUT, it's cool to be able to REALLY feel everything, just need to find a sweet spot I think :-)

  • Very nice theatre....

  • nice! howd u get so much popcorn!

  • hi, your setup is great and so is your website. I am also planning to have a home theater and have a question about the speaker system. Can we have the floorstanding speakers serve as our rear speakers as well or the book shelf speakers are the best for that purpose.

  • This is like the theater that God must watch...

  • VERY NICE jOHN!! Why dont you add movie posters on the wall???? Give it more of that 70s-80s movie house look!!

    5starzzz

    uriah

    ~GS~GHOSTSeekers

  • I can hear that you're playing Lord of the Rings, The Return of the King. Great movie.

  • How much money did u spend on the whole project including paint and everything.

  • You sound like Dane Cook. Nice theater and equipment

  • Are you rich!?

  • Not to talk mess or anything but it's not that great I'm pretty sure my theatre is better I might just make a vid 2 lol but nice lobby

  • great work your HT setup

  • front speakers wires showing ahhh!!!

  • So, it's not like you can see them in the dark.

  • well you know your buddies first time gonna wanna check it out , and if i see that wife i'd be pissed , atleast have the adasity to stable the wires straight l shape to the speaker then spray paint the wire black so it blends in many things u can do , there is no excuse bro let it go

  • No, I'll defend it. When you have guests over, it's not like your going to have the lights on and your not going to be able to see the wires. Everything else is professionally installed too. He probably was going to have the speakers where the plates are right now, but maybe decided to upgrade the screen size. I don't know why your picking out his mistakes, is it because your too poor to even afford a surround sound system from walmart? Or what? So fuck off. Don't tell me your rich either.

  • lol ,,, well if you subscribe to my channel i'm gonna take a video of my home theater set up , and you'll see what it means to hide wires , it kills the hwole thing when wires are showing , you do so much but get lazy at the wire part in the end? even a black sheet stapled to the wall would've hid the wire !! black tape around the wire to camafloge at least!! come on man where is your pride manhood and values

  • wall mart surround sound lool how dare ?

i have a 120 inch motorized screen with panasonic 7.1 channel surround sound, i have black walls to accent the screen even more , when u see my set up , i assure you that you'll wanna come see it and hey my whole set up im going to give up as a prize in a couple of years so subscribe :p

  • I love the fact that you talk about his kind of shit, but you don't have any videos of it out of your 123 uploads. Your such a retard. Now, unfortunately my parents insurance company doesn't want me posting any videos of even my room on the internet, never mind pictures as well. But, I do have a decent setup. 7.1, all mission speakers except for the subs, those are 2 Martin Logan Dynamo 12" Subwoofers worth about 1200 a piece. My parents picked them up for me as a surprise one day.

  • hey my uploads are educational informative videos for public to learn better understanding of the world around them so they can make better more informed decisions, its only recently i decided to make a video and put it up on youtube. my place is past v.i.p , i dont let anyone in my house let alone the world to seee my apartment :p but i wanna give away my whole set up for a lucky winner

  • There is enough of that on the internet. The other thing is I forgot to finish my other comment. For amplification, I have (For Surround and Side Speakers) two Marantz THX Power Amplifiers, each has a 2 channel output. For my main speakers, I have a Crown XTI6000 Power Amplifier with 6000 Watts in total power, for my center speaker, I needed something with one channel, which didn't happen so I went with another Marantz THX Power Amp and only used one channel. For processing, I went with the...

  • Dolby CP750 sound processor. 7.1 channels, all in HD. It sounds absolutely great. I use my HTPC too. Its a Gateway SX2000 series. HD Realtek sound card and the NVIDEA HD Video card. All 1080p of resolution. For a T.V, I went with a Panasonic 52" Vieara Plasma. Well, thats it. Have a great day :)

  • Cool, I will.

  • Nice choise on the Axiom speakers John, there a great speaker and a very good company. You should take a look at Oppo's BDP-83 Blu-ray Disc Player w/SACD & DVD-Audio. Its a great upconverter with its Anchor Bay chip as well.

  • Where's part III?

  • Everything looks great, but you have got to get some sound dampening for the walls. You can get it very cheaply at Home Depot and cover them with fabric. Believe me, this will improve your sound like you won't believe.

  • nice echo

  • sounds like your standing in a bathroom, you realy need some sound damping in there..

  • go check out mine Justins home cinema. as soon as i have the space im going for the seating and lighting etc. i love your sub never heard of your speakers.

  • I think I seen the build of this on a forum some where. I was thinking there was a window behind your screen before you said anything. But you should at least throw down some carpet on your floor to kill some of that echo. Your Lobby rocks

  • Rich mofuggah. I got a klipsch 5.1 and a 22" HD pc monitor to watch hidef on... :p

  • I love Blu-Ray, but was curious how do you like the quality of it blown up? I mean it's way better than DVD of course, but comparing Blu-Ray quality at your home theater and watching a movie in theaters (if you do sometimes) which wins?

  • wow man your 900watt svs sub bets my 30watt 5.25" surround sound sub!

  • Liking your set up man. good job!

  • holy crap you are so lucky

  • Do you think blu ray makes a significant difference in your theatre?

  • It does in mine... but it really only helps if you have an HD 1080p projector or 1080p HDTV

  • What have you done to minimise secondary soundreflections in the room? In the video it sounded like there was a lot of (in my ears) unwanted soundreflection in the room, due to the clean walls. Try use a mirror and place it on the walls, when you can see the front an center speakers front your seats, your should put some audio deflection or absourbance materiel there. I think you would greatly improve the sound quallaty by that. Other than that, great cinema :)

  • thats my name too

    WOOOOOOO!

and my parents own the local movie theater lol

  • svs subwoofers are very very good home theater subs for the money.. I bought me one SVS PB13 Ultra and man this thing is incredibly loud the subwoofer can really do some damage to your home ...if I had to pick one or two things that I didnt like was definition and distortion ...I have two Velodynes one HGS15 and one HGS18 and although they wont go as loud as the svs they do sound more defined and way less distortion but the svs simply kicks the Velos butt in loudness

  • please post some more of the theater working playing xbox or games

  • Great job man,one of the best configuration but you don't have a media center streaming media files from NAS or a network server

  • you got money

  • your room doesn't seem good for home theater. there is a lot of echo when you talk you should put at least 1 foam on each side. and the rear speakers with a 7.1 system should be at least 6 feet behind your seat!it looks good but the sound quality should be not as good as the speaker can do because of your big screen your room is too small for 110" screen and 7.1 system. If were you, i'd change the screen to be able to have the rear speakers 4-5 feet away or switch to 5.1 to have the big screen

  • Comment removed

  • maxohpne, i would agree that room is very 'live' and does need some sort of proofing, but apart from that i feel that there is nothing wrong with it. I think the screen size is awsome and i would love to have one and as for it being 7.1 I dont see any problem with that aslong as he does somthing to the room acoustics. Nice room by the way =D

  • The best Home theater ,,,,,,I would like to see a movie ,,could you do it for all yours visitors ,,Please

  • best?? not at all there are a few mistakes in this room

  • like what?

  • the rear surround speakers are not far enough, and the room is not proofed, you can hear it when he talks, it's echo

  • well done

  • Awesome, I like that you used a bedroom for the theater and the walk in closet was the equipment room. I've always wondered how many people with these theaters still go to the cinema.

  • Dude, very nice setup. You done well. The only thing i can pick wrong with it is that the speaker cables are showing. Im an installer and nothing makes a good system( other than the system itself) is the finished install man. Awesome setup though man. Well done.....

  • yeah well this is fox flat out being a jerk, you only showed a min or two and it was only the opening credits along with the title.... your vid actually acted as promo for their crappy movie.....I suggest on your next vid you show some real talent the likes of Pixar or why not go with the real big boys probably ohhh I don't know WARNER, UNIVERSAL or Paramount....CHEERS!!!! ON YOUR AWESOME THEATER DOWN WITH FOX!!!

  • ...ohhh B.T.W. movie SUCKED let the big boys do all the animated movies.. SUCKAAAAA!!!

  • hey I just saw that youtube took down your vid where you showed your theater apparently fox thought you were in violation of copyright...PLEASE!!!! thats just sad for FOX I actually went ahead and BOUGHT!!!!! the movie because I saw that short clip and got me interested HEY FOX BELIEVE ME NO ONE OUT HERE IS OUT TO GET YOU JUST CAUSE A GUY JUST HAPPEN TO RECORD 2 MIN OF THE MOVIE AND NEVER INTENDED TO SHOW THE ACTUAL MOVIE HE WAS JUST SHOWING US HES THEATER ...OHH B.T.W. THE MOVIE SUCKED STICK

  • Yeah, I'm pretty pissed off about that. I own over 1,500 DVDs/Blu-rays, and a good portion of those are Fox DVDs. I've given Fox a lot of my money over the years, and then they go and yank one of my videos over a minute of the opening credits from one of their movies? I understand the need to protect their intellectual rights, but wow. I was clearly just demonstrating my theater.

I'm inclined to boycott their films.

I'll make another video using a film from a less stupid studio.

  • @slkjohn

    Hey,

about Fox taking down your video... it is an automated procedure to take down videos on YouTube, nobody does it from Fox themselves.

If you upload a video to YouTube that has the exact frequency sequences that are from something made by Fox, it will automatically take it down.

:D just saying, you might know that by now.

ALSO, THIS home theater is INSANE!

So nice, this is like my dream *drool*

  • @slkjohn just make sure you put "No copyright intended" in CC which seemed to work for some of my vids when i have background music running. Nice theater setup im almost done with mine although its not as fancy but im getting there a lil bit at a time =D

  • u r god

  • Wow! what a pretty room there huh? it seems to be VERY comfortable... cool screen! nice job!

  • i hear your playing lord of the rings ,are you ready for those to come on blu ray hi def

  • i bet it looks and sound awesome in there
