I don't know that he would have crushed Kasparov if such a match had been possible. Both were geniuses - both in a class of their own.

Both were extremely agrressive innovators, and both amazing talents.

I do think he was the best speed (blitz) player in history with no equal.

For their time Capablanca etc, were pretty damned good too.

The USA's treatment of Fischer was disgusting.

I saw the same Philippines video a couple of yrs ago but the soundtrack was another one of Coldplay's songs. This is a great vid but it pales by comparison to when it was put to Coldplay's "Clocks". It takes on a much different aura. The "Clocks" version provokes great sadness & sympathy for this tormented genius who could have been saved had those around him cared enough to force him into proper medical care. Who knows what heights he could have achieved- perhaps that's why they didn't

Rare footage and pictures too of the young Attorney, Grandmaster Rosendo Balinas, giving Bobby a hard time in their game. Bobby escaped with a draw, in the "Beat Bobby Fischer" series.

Balinas lived up to his title of 7 time Philippine Champion, and Asia's best at the time, by almost beating Bobby. The rest of the 9 or ten Filipino masters bowed to Fischer.

Yes all we get is that short clip from the Burke interview. Cavett said Bobby appeared on his show three times!!!.he's only released that one video and he edited it at that! Have tried to contact Cavett inquiring about the other two appearances to no avail:-(
