@SovereignStatesman We have too many people arguing about whether to teach creationism or evolution, when half the kids aren't learning either anyway. Elementary school is glorified babysitting. Nobody moves onto the next lesson until the slowest one gets it, so No Child is Left Behind, meaning nobody gets ahead. And in high school, students are sleeping in class because it starts too early. Government is failing to run schools.
Government CAN'T run schools-- and that's appropriate because that was never its PURPOSE.

Now, the problem is what we have NOBODY arguing whether parents think the government can educate their kids better than THEY can.... because EVERYONE knows the answer; ALL schools should be PRIVATE.

Parents are concerned whether they're kids learn creation or evolution, and a lot of the parents are just as dumb as their kids. I agree that schools should be private. Competition is just what they need to rise above the status quo.

The bail-outs were a bad idea, because it rewarded failure, and got government involved in what should have been the natural selection process of business. I also think "job stimulus" isn't the unemployment solution.

The media should be ashamed for what they are doing. We are barely through the primary process and after four states, even with DR. Paul in a strong second or third in most states, he has become the thirteenth floor so to speak. Perry, Cain and even Bauchman were talked about as potential nominees. Look at where they are now. The media has turned this campain into a two man race for quite sometime. The media is supposed to be unbiased yet they clearly show they are puppets.

@SovereignStatesman We have too many people arguing about whether to teach creationism or evolution, when half the kids aren't learning either anyway. Elementary school is glorified babysitting. Nobody moves onto the next lesson until the slowest one gets it, so No Child is Left Behind, meaning nobody gets ahead. And in high school, students are sleeping in class because it starts too early. Government is failing to run schools.

Government CAN'T run schools-- and that's appropriate because that was never its PURPOSE.
To wit: "to secure these rights, governments are instituted among men, deriving their just powers by consent of the governed."
Now, the problem is what we have NOBODY arguing whether parents think the government can educate their kids better than THEY can.... because EVERYONE knows the answer; ALL schools should be PRIVATE.
But it's never about learning-- it's about POWER.
And that's the EMPIRE.

@SovereignStatesman It is, however, government's job to run a country, and they are - straight into the ground. Parents are concerned whether they're kids learn creation or evolution, and a lot of the parents are just as dumb as their kids. I agree that schools should be private. Competition is just what they need to rise above the status quo.
If I ever get around to it I'll make a video about my opinions on education reform.

No, the government's job is to represent the interest of the governors-- and they ARE doing just that, more than ever.The more centralized a government is, the more it represents the rulers, and hurts the less-represented. As Milton Friedman said in his book Free to Choose: capitalism doesn't help the rich, since they ALWAYS had modern conveniences-- i.e. running water via running SERVANTS, etc.; on the contrary, capitalism helps the POOR.
But we have CRONY-capitalism, not the actual.

@SovereignStatesman I agree with you about capitalism. The bail-outs were a bad idea, because it rewarded failure, and got government involved in what should have been the natural selection process of business. We set up crony-capitalism, and when it fails, we say capitalism has failed. I intend to vote for Ron Paul because I have to support a candidate who aims to limit the power of his own office. I also think "job stimulus" isn't the unemployment solution.

"bad" is a relative term; it was GREAT for those who got bailed out, and they are also the ones in POWER-- and it REWARDED power.
As for what "should" be, you have to start with the fact that each state is a popularly sovereign nation by law, in which case the federal government "should" never have claimed national authority over them-- or made Total War on them in establishment of such-- and CENSORSHIP of the truth.
Once they got national authority, they got ABSOLUTE POWER.

I'm 19, and I did not intend to ever register to vote. I did not want to surrender my identity to yet another government database. This election I will be taking a leap of faith to vote for this amazing man. I can only hope that the Government Machine will not lie to us about our election results. I was raised very patriotic, but I lose more faith in America every day.
Ron Paul is America's hero. He is what we need. God forbid the vote go to anyone else, our great country will crumble.

Since not a lot of people vote in the primaries, EVERY VOTE is ESSENTIAL for Ron Paul.
there is almost no question he can beat obama, but can he beat the other candidates?
In order to vote in the primaries, you must register as a republican. in some states, it must be 3 months prior to the primaries.
