Hardly a candlelit vigil is it? I don't care who it is, the people who turn to violence are the ones that are in the wrong every time in a democracy. The Police just did their job. I don't envy them. Free speech should be the weapon for all sides. We lose democracy when we fail to uphold it.

Are you kidding? The Nazis got humilated, they couldn't march and basicly when they went to go rally somewhere else the police told the Facists to go home. The whole march was a plan to scare the Jewish population that lived in the East end. Instead they had to flee home with their tail between their legs. After laws were passed that banned uniforms from being in marches, without their "Blackshirts" they were no longer as impressive. Besides they showed themselves as cowards that day.

1. They were Fascists not Nazis. Fascism was primarily an economic doctrine, that took different forms in different countries.
2. They didn't flee - they marched away when given a lawful order not to march.
3. Mosley held the largest ever indoor meeting 3 years after this 'battle'.
4. The protesters fought the police more than the BUF.
