Actually this is shrapnel shell or case shot. Canister is like a shotgun shell for the cannon packed with musket balls used for short range. Case shot or shrapnel shell is a hallow cannon ball shell but with musket balls.

Nice video. By the way, what you're showing here is not canister. It's called case shot. Case shot is a hollow ball filled with gunpowder and several smaller metal balls, which explodes in the air and showers metal balls on the enemy. Canister however is grapeshot packed in sawdust, and it is not shot into the air, but blown straight into the enemy infantry. Canister doesn't explode, it's basically a huge shotgun load. Just for your information.

@panzermedal1 Erm... nope its not like that: both Case and Canister shot are the same, they both consist of little balls packed in sawdust which split as soon as they leave the cannon, as you said, and Shrapnel Shot is the one which is a hollow ball filled with balls and powder, after shot, it will blow up in the air and "shower" the infantry with metal balls, as you said. :)

@santicapo10 in the mod its canister btw shrapanel doesnet fire in a tigth cluster but can does so look at that so u can see witch 1 it is
