i am sure her bowhold has more to do with a little kid trying to emulate what her teaching taught her and not her trying to execute a russian bow grip. i mean, i think i was doing that same thing when i was beginning in suzuki, but it wasn't what i was taught. my young and immature observational skills had me thinking i was imitating my teacher.
This isn't that good of a russian bow hold. Her wrist is too tight and she doesn't use the pinky to push the bow up as she approaches the frog, as is necessary to prevent an unnecessarily scratchy sound.

WOW, a 5 year old child playing that coool!! I play the viola n i was 8 when i started to play but she was good!!
