All head chefs have to be tough on cooks during dinner service.....from friendly's to fine dining.....you try feeding 100 people perfect food in 3 hours without being stern....your restaurant won't last a week. Ramsay is a nice guy but when it comes time to work hes a hardass....thats why he is so successful.
I have worked in fine dinning and I have seen chefs being normal and chefs being mean to a point that was almost cartoonish. Usually assholes are the ones that dont trust themselves enough so they are always flipping out. Are the lunatic managers the best managers?
