  • I have always been a fan of the powerfully dynamic middle section that begins at 4:45. Of course, there was a time when I found the "dialogue of the shapes" lyrics to be a bit unsettling, but that's a reprise of this section, found within Part 2, as part of "Sign of the Southern Cross.".

  • ~ " the devil is never a maker, the less that you give, you're a taker.."

  • Não entendo como até os membros da banda na época não gostaram do resultado. Cara!!! É um dos melhores discos ao vivo da história do rock!!!!! A cara do Sabbath: sombrio, pesado, guitarra perfeita, músicas selecionadas a dedo, vocal nítido, gezzer arrebenta no baixo, apicce muito bem... Quando era garoto ficava ouvindo este disco, e lembro que pensava assim "cara, nunca ninguém vai conseguir fazer um disco tão perfeito" ÉPICO!!!!

  • these groups have predicted the end for all metalheads..... i bow to these guys! \m/

  • Great album! Art work is awesome! Record albums are missed.

  • No one can project such power and passion with music in the metal world as Tony, Dio, Gez and Vinny. Hail what was Black Sabbath . Tony Iommi's greatest solo ever.

that was the great part for Toni Iommi's guitar lead.

    thakn's any way buddy..

  • thank's to you for a billion times,

you just did a great, great job there.

it's a very powerfull voice there of Ozzy Osbourne, lead vocals.

great "bass" & drums beat,& lastly

the best of all his playing on guitar lead by Tony Iommi

  • isnt there any real video of this recording?

  • Where is part 2?

  • I wore this cassette out!!!! The bass in this song kicks ass!

  • great... big sound.. congratulations of the heaven... and hell....ha ha ha

  • The war pig XD lol

  • Dio in kindergarden shouting at the kids: Come back here kids!!!!

Do you think they would come or run...?

    =D

  • i dont relly think its eveil, even more from the point of view that ozzy is evangelic and dio is christiankkkkk(no kidding its true).

  • Tonys' guitar playing is awsome. I think he played better or as good with DIO than with Ozzy. SABBATH RULES, METAL RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!! FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Are Dio's added lyrics on this version?

  • We'd like to especially thank you for this next one...

First time We're around to see you

We had an album out called Heaven & Hell

and from that album, a song that we like quite a bit-enjoy doing every night THANKS TO YOU!!

We'll do it for you now...

    It's called Heaven & Hell-AYE!

  • . . tony's solo in here is right up there with Hendrex's woodstock solo (voodoo chile through star spang.) and Alex Lifeson's in By-Tor from ATWAS. Three solos that continue to inspire. . .

  • Part 2 ?

  • got this disc(s) in my car right now. makes my trip to work much more tolerable. to me, the drum sound on this disc is both awesome and unique.

  • ne thing I was always fascinated witith the the album cover art.

It has the song "Heaven and Hell" represented by the angel and devil charachters, it has a voodoo priest to represent the song "Voodoo", It has a soldier in camo with a pigs head representing the song "War Pigs" and the very best song on the album is Neon Knights which is represented as the central figure.

And they are all "Children of the Sea".

    Best album cover in history.

  • Yes! Plus, you've got an "Iron Man" posing next to a Big Black Shape as in "N.I.B." and a couple kids paddling to shore in a coffin, which are "Children of the Grave" AND "Children of the Sea"!

Not to mention, the vaguely Satanic shaped lightning bolt striking the water in the background....

Man, I miss the old vinyl, LP, album covers, don't you?

  • Oh, I forgot the guy in the straightjacket, for "Paranoid", and the guy with the whip and the bloody shroud for "Mob Rules"....

Great painting! I would love it for over my sofa!

  • @Paganguy1 Same here. That would be a fucking great picture in any room. I saw this tour and it was RJD and Sabbath in TOP form.

  • . . yeah, fly by night was a good one too

  • After Ozzy left Black Sabbath and formed the Blizzard of Ozz. This album was sort of like a response to Ozzy's "Speak of the Devil" effort after Randy Rhoads died, which was all Black Sabbath songs, many of which are on the Live Evil album.

It wasn't until years later that Ozzy released "Tribute"

  • The ending is just the begining

  • Hey did anyone notice that this tuned down to B? I'm getting Past Lives and Live Evil now.

  • JeffMasonProject, I don't know if you're aware of this, but they did just release new versions of Heaven & Hell and Mob Rules in October of 2008 with new remastering. I got them both, and they sound fantastic.

  • you mean they're not the same as the 1982 live evil?

  • ozky10, what I mean is that the albums Heaven & Hell and Mob Rules were just re-released in October of 2008. Both albums are remastered, and the sound quality is very good.

  • i still cant find my cd of this.

1:40, nobody can sing ALRIIIGHT like dio.

5:27 (solo) the audio engineering (production) on this album is awesome, to me it sounds like they are playing in a big stone underground cavern for witches and evil ceremonies, a realy majestic cathederal sound.

  • Well, they never said where in Seattle, Dallas and San Antonio they played, so it's perfectly possible they played in a church or cave :p

  • @Jelle1880 I saw them in San Antonio for their Live Evil tour. Fucking EPIC! Sabbath at the top of their game.

  • This has to have been asked 100 times but have they released this on DVD yet? I mean, c'mon, it's the most bad assed live Black Sabbath version yet. LMK

  • this is the best live album in my opinion! and i demand that you think so to!

  • @ElectricDoooooM It is, but I would have to say the new Neon Nights live is dam good. It has pertental of being almost as good. Heaven and hell is darker in the new version!

  • Ha Ha, yeah Dio! I bet if you were to harness that voice of his it could be used to power a small city.

  • IOMMI

  • except I think its missing like a minute off the end- true?

  • Actually, Yeah...It's missing the last part cause I couldn't add it onto Part 2. :(

  • hmm pity? I don't suppose you can fix it then...

  • @BlackSabbath4Ever that's the bewst part of it!!!!

  • @BlackSabbath4Ever Damn... what a shame... why couldn't you end it with the last part?

  • THANKYOU SO MUCH

  • fuckin brill . hv it on vynil da dogs bollox ...
