I love Genesis especially this most beautiful album by them when Steve Hackett was our Genesis guitar player.
In a interview with Mike Rutherford he had said Steve has a original sound... I say yes Mike your right. But maybe Mike is just a little jealous of Steve's playing?
I saw this same concert two days prior, October 11, 1978, East Lansing, Michigan, Jenison Fieldhouse. Seventh row, center. Awesome sound. Mirrors. Phil Collins early in his Genesis career.
funnydude ive just heard the zurich one and i cant tel which is better, it sounds diferent, more magical than this one, suppose they both have thier own good parts
I agree this version is better than '77s. I never liked the way Hackett zipped-through the intro of this song live. Stuermer sounded really good throughout the '78 tour.
There is no way in hell this can be Daryl Strerumer (SP?), if that is that's the BEST Steve Hackett he ever did...

I was at this concert. Too bad there's no video. I remember it was released as a bootleg. Sounds like this was dubbed off the vinyl.

Time to go bed now
It never seems too keen
To be a guest now, in a house of dreams
Flying from a hillside
Beckoning the trees
A sailboat's awning mimicking the breeze
I just can't help going into a daydream whenever I hear this stanza of the song. So beautiful...

Just a heads up, If you'd like to hear the music in stereo, just add "&fmt=18" (without the quotes) to the end of the URL.

I like this version of the song. (I have it.) I find that on top of the extra stuff added in, Phil's singing on it better than the studio version!!!

Beautiful song - with even more beautiful lyrics. Peaceful yet scintillating imagery of a time and place long gone, surrounds me whenever I listen.
Thank you for posting this, glickton!

I will admit both versions are good in their own right.

The version is better than the 1977 Zurich concert. I kid you not!
