the shit around is actually just model they didn't use, it's not right from the first moment, they shift and remodel a lot, and they cba to remove the old models, since noone should be able to see it anyway.

It's the same as with cheat codes: put in there for testing and never taken out, hidden away from the player who plays the game NORMALLY. Not saying glitching isn't fun, it's just not supposed to happen.

the source engine: the first game running on the source engine you downloa is about 5 GB data. let's say I download TF2. After that I donwload HL2, running on the same engine. the Engine is already present, so I only download 100-ish MB for a COMPLETE 3D GAME. My point here is that the biggest part of WoW is the engine, textures (which can be copied a lot) and the sounds. 3D models are small.
