  • In my mind, this guy lost credibility when he was appointed for the Iraq Nuclear Inspection hoax.

On another note, it is said that nuclear power is dangerous, but having less of it is even more dangerous. You really think US would unarm itself from being a nuclear power?

  • Hans Brix? OH NO!

  • follow @DailyEconomics on twitter

  • The more and more that I see the effects of nuclear arms whether it comes to their possession or use, the more and more that I realize that probably disarmament would be the best thing for the world.

  • @GentlemanThunder7 ? Why? Because of all those times people have used them??!

  • @CmdrTobs It takes only one use of a nuclear arm to show the world that the use of it thereof is possible, let alone devastating. (This is GentlemanThunder7, by the way)

  • @ScarletGhost4356

Which kind of was my point. Fear over nuclear retaliation is probably why the major powers became much more peaceful after 1945.

Without nukes I estimate conventional war would have broken out between powers like the USSR, China, UK, France, USA almost as readily as it did in the 19th century. Especially in 60's where it looked like anti-air ground defences made mass bombing impractical (Air to ground power is a the second great deterrent after nukes)
