  • rest in peace

  • Beautiful and touching. Silence is indeed Golden!

  • RIP from France,Mister Mime Marceau

  • The signe language should be the international one.

  • There are many sign languages. It is not an international language but it is true that Deaf people from all over the world can understand one another better than hearing people!

  • Marcel Marceau was one of my two heroes. The other one was Jacques Cousteau. Cousteau and his team SHOULD HAVE learned ASL or LSF. It's very practical underwater too!

  • this makes me wish I hadn't quit using sign language after I'd been put in mainstream classes.

either way, this was a great tribute, thanks for posting it. :)

  • j'adore ce wa man show

  • I would have liked to know Marceau before his departure. Maybe i just dont know many mimes, but this man seems a real master to me. I think mime sould be something we could teach children in school. It brings out another aspect of "expression" wich uses a more abstract part of the brain and let one be in thouch with his inner feelings rather than be in an analytic mode.

Sorry if this post makes no sense, im french!

    Rest in peace Marcel Marceau

  • Your post does make sense. I agree he's a great artist. God bless him!

  • I don't sign or understand sign language, but your intelligence and heart came through loud and clear in this video.

I also appreciated knowing what a connection you had with Marcel Marceau, and understood your heartfelt tribute to his work. It makes so much sense that Marceau and the deaf would have such a strong connection! I hope to learn sign language so that I can properly enjoy your video blogs in the future. For now, I'll just enjoy whatever I can pick up.

    Cheers.

  • I saw Marcel perform two different times in Portland, Oregon, and yes, we were given seats close to the stage because we were deaf.

His work will be something we will never forget.

I even enjoy going to Fishermans Wharf in San Francisco and watching that mime there that follows people around. Hilarious!

Thanks, Amy you give such a warm vlog!

  • It's amazing how humans can communicate. I didn't understand a think for what you gestured, but is easy to me to guess that you and in grieve as many others, I include myself, I hope that one day humans could make hand signs so we can understand each other without talking...one cannot yell at others...war will be less, isn't it? Is a beautiful video...thanks for the experience and I promise I will learn some hand signs, just to feel words with touch.

  • That was beautiful.

I think I missed a bit, though. Was Marcel Signing with the deaf people after the show or communicating through gesture?

    Peace.

  • R.I.P.
