  • Just buy a replacement gas tube from tapco and save the old one so you can restore the gun to it's original configuration if you want. It'll keep you from looking like a monkey working on the gun. Perhaps the replacement part wasn't available when this vid was put up but there's no excuse for this happening now.

  • is this a tripod review?

  • 3 light taps and my pin came right out woohoo! =)

  • U guy: to remove the pin from the Hand guard: - to remove : From left to right

    - to Install: From right to left ** Use punch 1/16 hit easy (3 times) will come out if u guys follow my instructions

  • @CharlieDoan The pin was pretty much fused to the gas tube, when you have something that old in there for so long you can't expect it to just pop out.

  • @Egamer50 the reason the pin is so hard to get out of the gas tube is because they were polished down. makes it very hard to see. steel wool works wonders! still a bitch tho!!!

  • where did you get that flash hider?

  • i think you guys did a good job taking the gun apart its way overkill their was a couple things you could have done to save some time if its not broke dont try to fix it for example the pin you milled out prob wasnt suppose to come out pins are like floaters they gradually will come out the gas piston was suppose to be cleaned only with the hand guard attached not everthing is suppose to come off on weapons everything has a purpose i hope the pin doesnt slip out when firing the weapon

  • Do you have a video showing how to take wood off the gas tube?

  • @destroytheface No. Theres a little pin you have to get out, and w had to drill the pin out, its a bitch and took an hour.

  • @Egamer50

The pin in my SKS is tapered. Comes out one way..

  • @winchestermag My Russian SKS pin is NOT tapered

  • bill drits :D

  • you did choose the right drill bit the titanium bits are ususally coated makes em last EVEN longer theres others ways of telling there usually lighter &cooler to the touch at least in my experience
