interesting I assume that this is running by vector mode not interlaced like tv.

Right. I used three channels from a 5.1 external USB soundcard -- one channel connected to X, one connected to Y, and one connected to intensity. The intensity one doesn't work that well but it keeps some of the ghosts from showing up :)
