@crapolaist I noticed this as well. I think what actually may have happened is Rob and Colby had to replay the point because someone won illegally like the point between Coach and Rupert. I'm guessing Colby knocked off Rob initially but they had to replay the point and he knocked him off again. The challenge was such a blowout for the heroes that the producers probably decided it was pointless to show that if it didn't impact the outcome of the challenge. It's edited, not fake or staged.

Yeah I noticed that during the first public TV viewing during that season. I think it didn't count because she didn't cause Candace to fall into the mud (like Coach did to Rupert). Since neither person had an advantage because of her move they allowed the duel to continue.
If you look at it closely you might see that Rupert was gonna go over the edge under his own momentum anyway, but since the "dragonslayer" did touch the "pirate" using the exact same move that Probst demonstrates @ 3:34 (whereas Parvati didn't touch Candace at all) they had to disqualify it and start over again.
Heroes dominated in this challenge! Danielle is so not a villain though... I'd say she's only a villain because Cirie is a here. IMO they could've been flipped around.
In Samoa Ben was kicked out of the challenge for tripping someone (in a physical challenge), but Coach isn't kciked out for giving Jeff the middle finger? That's kidna lame.

Notice how while Jeff is explaining the challenge if you watch the villains tribe you can just tell that they know there about to get there asses kicked.
I don't think they decided who would go up against who, the two teams wouldn't ever be able to gone to a decision. The producers probably decided. It's too perfect:

I think it's a good strategy that they put up randy against james.. because the villains knew they have no chance going against against james and randy would just loose to all the heroes anyways.. so by them putting up against james, didn't really do much cause they all got beaten anyways.. ^_^

Show some aggression in a challenge that brings you one step closer to winning one million dollars and you are in dire need of some mental rehabilitation....give me a break. It's easy to say that when you are not in that situation and are just a spectator because you are capable of making rational decisions from an objective standpoint. Once you are thrust into those circumstances it is easy to have your emotions take over.

Colby goes into the circle to face rob wearing his blue buff, while they're bashing the crap out of eachother, at 5:58 his buff falls off onto the ground near the corner, but then near the end of the match he has it around his neck...wtf is up with that, i wouldn't think jeff would pause the match just to let colby get his buff.... small things like that makes me worry just how much of a reality show survivor really is.

@chinglis brabbit695 is right, in many many duel type challenges, Survivor does best 2 out of 3's, but because of the immense amount of footage they have to go through, as well as the amount of "social game" they want to show, they will usually only show a combination of the multiple "duels" in order to show as much of the social game as possible. That also explains why Rob and Colby are so much muddier between 5:55 and 5:58, Survivor is still very much "trustworthy".

Haha, the Villains actually had a pretty good plan matching Randy up against James. They figured none of them could beat him and put their worst guy on him to improve their matchups against everyone else. Instead they got owned and James crushing Randy was just icing on the cake.

Haha, the Villains actually had a pretty good plan matching Randy up against James. They figured none of them could beat him and put their worst guy on him to improve their matchups against everyone else. Instead they got owned and James crushing Randy was just icing on the cake.
