Arduino Nerf sentry gun test

@japunto I'm thinking of a pan & tilt system here, and am trying to figure out how it would sweep up/down AND left/right, while still picking up targets accurately.

Hey, I've got an Arduino, and was wondering what shields you used for the motors, and where you got the motors themselves. A diagram or look-over of the setup would be great. Thanks!

@Cydiawesome Hi, I'm using two Arduino boards (ran out of pins on the first, used serial to talk between the two) have an Adafruit motor shield for the turret motor, a Ping sensor for distance, a 7-Segment shield to display the distance, a small relay board I built to close the trigger circuit, and a couple of ScrewShields to help wire it all up.

@Rnakata808 no, that dosnt exist, the arduino can't handle buffering images from a camera

@123456789robbie Yeah, the people I've seen tracking images have used a PC instead of a microcontroller.

@japunto you could try using array of "safe lengths" for let's say 10 different degrees of rotation. I think. But I don't have arduino yet, so who knows. It wouldn't be as good as camera, but still pretty neat.

@waterkeeper03 Yes. It calibrates to the first object it sees, calling that the "safe" distance. As soon as something comes closer it shoots. Range on sensor is 2cm to 3 meters.

Try removing the supressors. It makes them shoot faster, harder, farther, louder, and a touch more dangerous. I've heard it's difficult.
