is the PCC just a gate guard or on display? I didn't think PAT had any left in running period. (the only one left that runs in this state still is at the PA Trolley Museum)

There's 4007 up there, and what I believe to be 4008 or 4009 repainted as 4001 as the gate guard at the Port Authority Rail Complex at South Hills Village.
Humorously, I got to sit in 4004's driver's seat when I was little and the PCC's still ran the Drake Shuttle. The motorman let me sit in it and told me "not to touch anything" while we were waiting at the Drake Loop. I should put it up here, but you'd think I was cute and that would be an ego buster.
@redoctober90 Actually 4008 and 4009 were both sent to San Fransisco for use on the MUNI's Heritage line. Sadly they will likely never be used because they are the wrong guage, and the city doesn't want to invest the money to re-guage the trucks to standard guage. As for 4004, we share the same experience on the same car! I got to sit in the motorman's seat at the Drake loop as well on 4004, so I guess the world is smaller than we thought! In case you're interested, 4004 is now on display and...
The car number, 4007, was removed because that car was involved in a fatal accident in Castle Shannon. The family involved did want to see that car and wanted it removed from the Schoolhouse. The car number was removed as a compromise.
