  • I was amazed when you went up by a whole octave. Very well done!

  • @TimsterStudiosDavid Glad that you enjoyed my Handwhistling. I've been doing it since 1965. Happy New Year.

  • woooooooooooow... this is so cool...amazing..:)

  • @Xapiaxa Pia- I am so glad that you enjoyed this "dancing" Handwhistling classic!! If you want to hear me at my Handwhistling best, listen to my version of "Crazy" and "My Funny Valentine". Your singing is on the same professional level as my Handwhistling. You can also watch me on my two Tonight Show appearances up here.

  • Great performance Ben,Handwhistling this Cool Tom Jones Classic hit song,Thumbs Up !!!!..Cheers,Marc Jones..Los Angeles,U.S.A. (Vocalist)-Syd-Aus : )

  • @beautifulwaterlily My talent is no more exciting than listening to your wonderful singing and artwork videos that meld the two together. Thank you for commenting. Have a great rest of the weekend!

  • Who needs instruments?! That's something unique, as far as I know. Nice one

  • @MrGuitarBloke Glad that you enjoyed this most unusual video! Have a great Monday.

  • Hi Ben, It's Jeremy Shafer. I enjoyed this video. I still can't really understand how you can go so high without lifting your fingers or opening the chamber. Maybe you could make a how to video that shows it up close. I think that would help me (and others) get better at handwhistling... if I at least understood how your technique works.

  • @jeremyshaferorigami Jeremy- It is great hearing from you. I hope that all is going great with your Family and your life. It makes me happy to know that you appreciate what went into making this video. As far as holding my hands without opening them, there is quite a simple explanation. Using the fingers of my left hand, I pull my right palm closer together with the left, speeding the air up because it is a smaller area, making higher notes. The diaphragm pressurizes the air so I use less.

  • Another one comment from me my friend Ben,

This is just wonderful and very classic with your amazing instrument.

    Thumbs up again,.

    Jeann

  • Really enjoyed listening to this. Tom Jones is one of my favorites. Nice.

  • @Ajohn13 - John- Glad that you enjoyed this very difficult video because of all of the movement that I did while performing. It was a great deal of fun to do as is every video that I put up here. By the way, this video has been sitting at 1399 views and won't move to 1400. It should be at least 1425 by now. Maybe you can make it unstuck! Have a great day.

  • Wow, you are very talented and it's a unique talent!! It's very amusing!! ;-)))

    Thank you!

  • @kumhuimusicgirl Thank you Kamhui for your comment. It was very difficult to play the correct notes while moving so much. If you want to see my Handwhistling at its best, watch me play "Crazy", "My Funny Valentine", or my two Tonight Show appearances. Your guitar playing is wonderful!

  • groovy xxx

  • Amazing! This is great!

    Smiles

    Veronica :-)

  • @BILLMCLEANJAZZ Veronica- Thank you so much for taking the time to watch one of my Handwhistling videos. I'm so glad that you enjoyed my trying to "dance" and play at the same time. It was very hard work! I really enjoyed yours and Bill's latest song. It is truly a masterpiece. Have you watched my appearances on the Tonight Show? If you click my second upload on my Channel, you can watch me as a member of The Three Tendons performing on numerous TV Shows from 2001-2002. Have a happy 4th!

  • Always unique my friend.

    God Bless.

    Jeann

  • @PhilippineJeann Jeann- Thank you for taking a few moments of your precious time to check out this video. I enjoy every one of your videos and find them extraordinary. Have a great week!

  • Dear handwhistlerben I am just starting to hand whistle and am starting my first tone. I hold my hands in a different way such as handsplay another handwhistler. I am awe struck by your playing and wondered if you had any tips. Thanks.

  • Awesome!!! Loved it!!! Good pitch!!

  • @MariaSarah2 MariaSarah- This was very difficult to move and keep the notes flowing and on pitch. When you find time, check out my two Tonight Show appearances in 1979 and 2001 and HandwhistlerBen with The Three Tendons videos. You will see me on other TV Shows. You might also find my professionally trained singing interesting as well. Listen to "I want you, I need you, I love you" . Your singing is sensational and may get you on American Idol when you are 18! Have a great weekend.

  • This is great!!

  • Great job Ben, very lively and fun

  • @g4rdenspoon This was a real bear to perform with all the movements, but I did it in one take. I haven't been able to do it as well since! It was important that I have the dancing hands and still put on a great musical performance. I am pleased with it. I'm glad that you enjoyed it.

  • @HandwhistlerBen I did enjoy it, towards the end it was very energetic.

  • VERY NICE !

  • @Bidyyy Ernest and Sarah- Thank you so much! Glad that you enjoyed this fun video!! Have a great day.

  • How did I miss this one? I always loved this fabulous great 60's tune and Tom Jones is one of my favorite singers, one of the best! Ben you do a rousing fabulous handwhistling version of this rockin tune! I really loved,it was complicated too, lots of vibrato and fast notes. But I don't think anyone in the world can do it better. This also takes a lot out of you so we appreciate you going all out and making these special vids for us. :)) Keep it going Ben my bro!

  • @cbrb40 Rick- I'm glad that you appreciate how hard this was to play. By the way, I did this on one take after going over a few sections first. I have not been able to duplicate that performance since!

  • thansk and welcome congrats this video :)

  • @blancaluzdelsol - Luluasol- I am so glad that you enjoyed this video as much as I enjoyed your beautiful music!

  • Always wonderful my friend..

Very unique style without instrument my friend..

    God Bless.

    Jeann

  • @PhilippineJeann Jeann- It is so great to hear from you. I hope that you had a wonderful Easter Holiday. I am glad that you enjoyed how hard it was for me to move so much and still phrase and keep the pitch. In the past week I put up two versions of "All of me". The first one I tried to make sound like it was recorded in the 1940's as I moved away from the webcam microphone and turned the recording volume up. The second version is me at my finest, considering that I practice so little now.

  • B-est musical performance i think,

    E-xtraordinaire,unusual,lol

N-o instruments needed except two hands.

    Really unusual,Ben/

    thanks for the entertainment..

    vicky

  • @orgelnam08 Vicky- Glad that you enjoyed my Handwhistling and movement to this wonderful song! It was quite a challenge to do on one take. At the moment I am trying to do a Handwhistling video of the Tom Jones' song, "Delilah", which keeps me in my upper range and is quite exhausting. I won't post it until I am totally satisfied, which could take a few weeks, and hundreds of takes. Take care......

  • Wow Ben, every covers you have, you make me amaze, its super effortless, super beautiful! Youre truly a performer!

  • @albrenza Lea- I am so glad that you enjoyed how hard it was for me to move and still be able to play the correct notes. I was exhausted at the end of doing this video which was on one take. I tried to imitate Tom Jones' moves. Have a great day!

  • your good!

  • @TheTakihiko Glad that you enjoyed this! Thank you for stopping by.

  • Hi Ben, this is very nice, well done, :) Hope your enjoying the kids again at school! Have a great week! -S

  • That was fun!

  • @ubizmo - Hello my friend. I'm glad that you enjoyed how hard I worked to make this come out this good on the first try! I am back at Teaching again after being very sick since October and having a very long recuperation. I will not be on Youtube until the end of June when the School Year ends. I have to give my full attention to my job! Take care and be well and happy.

  • Hello Ben, lovely to see you once again and hear your beautiful whistling, my idol! ;D

  • I just tried this tune myself and failed within a few seconds hahahaha Enjoyed all of todays videos Ben, it was nice to see a multiple selection H&R Bro

  • @DibbersPage Dibber- Congratulations on your one year aniversary of having your wonderful channel up! I always enjoy your comments on my videos! There is no reason that you couldn't learn to be a great Handwhistler, with practice, of course! You are so talented. Take care.

  • awesome handwhishtling Ben !! :)

    enjoy this very much hehe

  • @Bluecostarch Michelle- Thank you for stopping by and listening to this video. I'm glad that you enjoyed it (he he) and made you laugh! Moving while handwhistling is quite difficult and I was determined to make it work. I did this on one take! Your singing on your latest video is gorgeous. It would be perfect if your guitar were in tune. A few minor adjustments would make all the strings on the correct pitches. Take care.....

  • hi ben

    well done my friend

    enjoy your time off

    have a nice evening

    vic

  • my god thats amazing! it always brings me joy to listen to your handwistling!

  • Sounds great Ben!!

    Good song choice!

Have you ever did "Loving you" ? hehe

Your high notes here sometimes reminded me of the high pitched part of that song :D

  • thank you ben, u have a great spring.

i am outside now working on my yard.

    michael

  • Wait, you were on the Tonight Show?? You're famous!
