While she was in office she helped create one of the few states with a budget surplus in 2008. She was forced out of office after her failed campaign for Vice President due to all the liberal loons suing her relentlessly. She had spent $500k of her own money defending herself making her lose most of her capital and created a need for defense lawyers to defend her.

Alaska's situation isn't quite the same as the Middle East. In Alaska most of the state is closed off from oil drilling and settlement. The cost of living in Alaska is significantly higher as well.
The US lower 48 has a similiar resource monopoly as Alaska and the middle east with a robuse amount of Coal, Natural Gas, and Shale Oil. The difference is a failure to utilize it.
What she succeeded on is continuing to create oppurtunity in Alaska which is more then could be said about others.
Are you forgetting the fact that Alaska gets more federal grants and funds per capita than any other state? They get more back from Washington than personal income tax paid. That will certainly skew the budget to the point of having to screw up very badly before there is a deficit

She was forced out of office after her failed campaign for Vice President due to all the liberal loons suing her relentlessly. She had spent $500k of her own money defending herself making her lose most of her capital and created a need for defense lawyers to defend her.

Alaska's situation isn't quite the same as the Middle East. In Alaska most of the state is closed off from oil drilling and settlement. The cost of living in Alaska is significantly higher as well.
The US lower 48 has a similiar resource monopoly as Alaska and the middle east with a robuse amount of Coal, Natural Gas, and Shale Oil. The difference is a failure to utilize it.
What she succeeded on is continuing to create oppurtunity in Alaska which is more then could be said about others.
