  • Muy bonito

  • Is there a reason why everyone is being blocked by the video you have called Dean Martin - The Man Who Plays The Mandolino

ITs blocking us here in the US TO VIEW!

I really love your playing... Wow ! wish i was that good :-)

Many thanks for the wonderful videos

  • very good man...you do concerts?

  • Lovely! The mandolino is quintessentially Italian, of course, and the addition of your playing to Mascagni's scoring is brilliant. One can virtually feel the breath of the sea sweeping across the piazza. I have played the organ accompaniment to the Intermezzo in the opera house, and it is a beautiful, if now somewhat hackneyed, piece. Grazie!

  • Outstanding!!! You have obviously perfected your skill with years of focussed practice and effort, culminating in an exceptionally gifted and skilled musicial rendition. This is one of my most favorite pieces of music and hearing in from the mandolin in your hands has enriched it all the much more. You know know that your personal efforts have and Love of music has gifted another fellow human of the pleasure of your music. You are on your way to Greatness, Thank You, Thank You.

  • @paulmaters That was an exceptionally beautiful message - I am so glad that you like the music and my playing :) Thank you for listening and taking the time to comment.

  • Where did you buy your mandolin. Is it an Italian one?

  • Just seen the comment by ivannrico Tom, just had a look at his site. A nobody with no talent, some people should just shut up.

  • Beautiful, I can hear and see your playing. 5*. Love it, great tune.

  • exellent, very well done

  • ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh exelente!!!!!!!

    5/5

  • I think that's a magnificent presentation. All who can play anything on a mandolin raise your hands!

  • this guy is very funny, his instrument simply does not any thing for the music

  • Hola Thomas: Your performance is very nice, only one thing, there is too much orchestra for your mandolin. Maybe you need a better microphone for your instrument, or you lower the volume of the orqchestra so we can hear you better (probably the idea of the mike would be better). Lovely performance in a lovely instrument. Good luck.

  • Thomas, mis mas sinceras felicitaciones por la interpretación de este hermoso instrumento

  • Ma signori miei, non sapete cos'è un mandolino? What a shame!

Mr.Bradybraidz, you're such an artist! Very interesting!!

  • wat instrument is that, a lute?

  • It is a Mandolin - it is derived from a Lute called a 'Mandore' - by the Italians and used largely in Napoli in the 19Century :)

  • Mr. Brady, just to let you know that this song has huge sentimental value to me as a person, and your quite stunning rendition had such a profound impact on me that it actually moved me to tears.

    Quite brilliant!

  • me ha gustado muchisimo, bravo Brady.

  • Is that less stupid, BRADY !

  • I didnt ever say it was stupid! lol :)

  • This proves, once again, that you don't have to be Italian to make Pasta Sucu, Ha !

  • STUPID COMMENT!

  • Once there was a Russian tenor who sang at La Scala for the 1st time. A nervous wreck before he went out; by the end of the opera, when everyone went out for the encore, all received an ovation. He was sent out alone and received a standing 'O'. So, he sang the aria again. Another 'O' and he sung it again, again, and again, 10 times. Finally he thanked the audience and said he was grateful but can't sing anymore. Then somebody in the crowd said, "you'll sing it 'til you get it right!"

  • i dont get it ?

  • bravo what a beautiful sound

  • Just beautiful! Your sound is just beautiful!you are very talented !

  • Bravo!

  • very good

  • How do I find a version of this song that has this instrument in it, such as the above or the version that is played in Godfather III?? All the ones I've come across don't have this string component, which I love.

  • I have never found a version with the mandolin it seems to be all strings! I can send you an MP3 with me playing it but thats all i can offer, sorry

  • really really interesting!

  • I'm a Ph.D student in University College Cork, In Cork there is Cork School of Music , CIT, it's free just turn up in September each year, a short interview and off you go to explore the world of music, plus there are grants that one can apply for.

  • Brad, why don't you apply to a music school? It will allow you to explore your interest.

  • Not meaning to sound like an idiot or like im trying to get compliments but i dont think im good enough. I can play simple stuff but i cant play quick songs. I prefer slow songs and also i do things by ear so i cant even read music. But thank you for saying i should anyway :)

  • but thats what will develop your ability.

if you continue to just figure things out by ear and play slower

  • songs with no theory, you will only be able to go so far.

schooling and theory will broaden your outlook and let you appreciate a larger amount of music!

    very nice playing though!

  • Thanks for the comments. I do want to pursue it further, right now i am studying Film and TV but who knows what ibn the future :) out of interest, Do you play any instruments?

  • wow i know its like half a year later but

yeah i play violin, guitar, and dable in voice.

i watched your video cause i made regional orchestra and played this song.

by the way, you look so moved at the very end when you look up

    haha awh!

    touching =P

was interested in how a mandolin fit

  • Wow, i would love to be in an orchestra, you are very lucky especially to play this song as well. I love Cavalleria Rusticana so much and I think this is my favourite piece of instrumental music.
