Microsoft will NOT be paying for YOU to play an MMO, YOU will pay to keep the ACCOUNT open and active, you will be able to play this with the xbox live silver because you wont be using microsoft servers, you will be using CRYPTIC servers but will be connecting via XBOX, please stop thinking that Microsoft will pay for you because your already paying for Gold, Microsoft are not making the game, Cryptic and Atari are.

i disagree because this game is still going to require no real skill to play. Its press X attack in X pattern till all moves are on cooldown. Tactics will devolve into chains of moves that use against AI that cant really think on level and will just stand there and take it. DC universe on other hand actually have to Aim, think and combat other players, has villians and heros, pvp where both sides have to combat each other...sorry but i feel dc>champions in terms of skill required.
but i dont have skills in mmo's, but i can play action games good, so the fact it aims for me is good for me and it doesn't have a cooldown system but an energy system. but it is your choice im just not ahuge aimer or mmoer
Cryptic will be making a very good move from a marketing point of view if they have no or very small fees, becuase they will sell more copies the lower the fee is, so if the fee is £5 rather than £15 they could sell 3 times the ammount of copies.

i don't know about mmo's on consoles but mmo get patches and expansions over time more and more for more content,how would work for a mmo on a console like xbox 360,then you have the version with a hd but will that hd be big enough for all that plus the another games you play on it and how will communication work here,with mmo you have all kinds of chat channels sometimes i wonder how that works in this game and how will that work on the console version,haven't seen anything of that

Not at all, and I actually have heard of it. It's just the typical model of an MMO is a monthly fee. Guild Wars gets funds from routine expansion packs, and it's NCSoft so they've got a number of other games they get revenue from.

This is incorrect information. Both platforms will require a subscription fee in order to fund updates, patches, and content. Xbox 360 users will have no advantages over PC users because then everyone would purchase the 360 version and the studio would lose money. Check the forums. It's easy to find the info.
The game looks alot better now, im currently in the beta...very fast paced and very fun, and the customisable options you have is mind blowing...the option to change the colour of your powers really is great.

If they want to update the game then use the money we used to buy the game and use the money from your other products to do so. Yea, but good MMOs are worth committing to and paying monthly for, and it's actually cheaper. A lot of people think monthly fees are a rip-off, and yet every 1-3 months, they spend $50 on a new game they end up not liking, which adds up to a LOT more spent than paying a one-time retail price and $15 a month for a single game that has a lot of replay value and can be played for years. Of course, that's not everyone's cup of tea, but solely in terms of cost, monthly fee MMOs aren't a bad deal.

Naah sorry mate, u cant just attack a hero out of the blue. But there is a arena which u can enter and after release there may be some Clan Vs Clan action and these even been a word of them bring Villains which then will bring open PvP if we lucky.
Champs is a really good looking game has alot which DC doesnt.

For 360, the controls are A B Y X is standard attacks (look like a weak power usually) and then when you pull LT u acess your main powers. So example for me as Tazer would be: A= Weak electric Punch B= Medium Attack X= Long range attack Y= Strong attack But then with LT its: LT A: A long beam of electricity LT B: A static shield maybe LT X: AoE Electricity spell (like causing the floor around to conduct electricity) LT Y: could be another type of electricity. Ok??

i dont know why people complain about sub fees have you ever heard of a mmo that competes with how many updates bugs and fixes that world of warcraft do and is all because we pay for them to do this keeping the world fresh and new to us unlike free mmos just my problems is borrowing my sisters credit card :(

Um...we complain because we don't want to pay extra. We already have to pay for the actual game. If they want to update the game then use the money we used to buy the game and use the money from your other products to do so. And if that money isn't enough then heck I don't need the updates that bad.

I wouldnt be upset about them pushing the release to Sept 1 2009 if it wasn't because the beta testers were complaining. THEY get to play the game!! I hope they release the open beta soon, because it's obvious cryptic isn't going to accept my closed beta application any time soon...

ya in one of the videos i watched a question was asked if you could run up and just kill someone and the guy said no you cant just kill another champion. He did say that there would be a pvp arena for players to battle in

As far as I know it seems that this wont be making it to the 360.I'm a 360 user and would LOVE to see this game come out on it.But alot of saying nothing about the 360 or saying the same stuff over and over. This leads me to believe that it isn't coming out on the 360.Maybe next gen in two years but I don't think cryptic and MS will come to an agreement.

There's alot of people who dont find game's worth paying a monthly fee, they could either not have enough time to play for the time they are paying.
Or he's someone that would rather pay a single cost for a game and play it whenever he's in the mood.
Also just because a game has a monthly fee, doesn't mean its "good." There's alot of monthly fee games that outright suck.

Yea, but good MMOs are worth committing to and paying monthly for, and it's actually cheaper. A lot of people think monthly fees are a rip-off, and yet every 1-3 months, they spend $50 on a new game they end up not liking, which adds up to a LOT more spent than paying a one-time retail price and $15 a month for a single game that has a lot of replay value and can be played for years. Of course, that's not everyone's cup of tea, but solely in terms of cost, monthly fee MMOs aren't a bad deal.

You move around in combat, if you don't you get beat up. Its in one of the other videos for this game, i think its called "hands on demo"

Naah sorry mate, u cant just attack a hero out of the blue. But there is a arena which u can enter and after release there may be some Clan Vs Clan action and these even been a word of them bring Villains which then will bring open PvP if we lucky.
Champs is a really good looking game has alot which DC doesnt.
360 a bonus for most people who dnt have ps3 and cross servers make it a lot more fun.
