For the most part they like everybody else want to raise their children to be good people, go to work, worship in the way they see fit and they want to retain some of their culture. In addition to that many Muslims feel as i they are not a part of the Non-Muslim culture, kind of like the Amish in America. There has to be a peaceful solution. It's not just the politicians.

Many Muslims do not see Sharia law as oppressive or barbaric because we believe that it is all from God. And God does not make mistakes. I understand how Islamic ideology can be something 360 degrees different from what a westerner is used too. I have read that crime rates with Sharia law are very low.
