That's another great feature of Ziggo. Even when he was damaged and couldn't spin, he could still push the other bot around. His armor, with the rounded form, was tough to get through, too.

Consistently being impressed with Ziggo's composure. Seems to feint in front of the saw blades and dodge like a matador, leading the other guy into them.. the way he backs of to maintain the same distance until he strikes. It's really impressive stuff.

I mean it's well designed and well made too, but the way he has it moving is something else.

From what i remember ziggo's flag was to prevent from flipping and to tell which direction it was facing.

You gotta remember too the bots are 30-40 foot away and their looking thru plexi glass with bright lights in their eyes. You got spikes,saws,hammers,pistons...­all sorts of shit coming out of the floor. I personally thought they had too much stuff and never really let the bots decide who won.

absolute awful driving 1:15. Could have delivered a knockout blow but nooooo. Had to totally drive in the wrong direction and disable the spinner

No, the angle of approach was off and he had to adjust it somehow in order to hit. Keep in mind when the spinner is moving you cant tell which way the chassis under it is facing untill you move. It takes some guessing to calculate how far the bot has turned. Instead of turning right there, Ziggo backed off from Raptors lifting arm. He then hit the killsaw by accident before he could perform the adjustment.

the dude's cat (named ziggo) died and he wanted to make some sort of tribute to his cat, since he was very attached to him.

and he built: ZIGGO, the battlebot.

and that's why i think Ziggo is the best.

What's the point on putting styforoam ON A LIFTER to protect it? Especially if it's your main and only weapon...

The point is that the foam will absorb the first and most powerful shot and be ripped off as a consequence and while ziggo is not spinning for a few seconds the lifter could be used. At least that's what I would've done and I built these bots for 7 years. but it is not so easy to execute as you can see

If technically possible, I would have put a metal sheet nearly flush with the ground at the end of the lifter. A story of getting under Ziggo from a safe distance.
