more than likely, he was drunk and just drowned. I know someone who was so drunk he tried walking back to his dorm after leaving a bar and woke up soaking wet on the embankment of a river. Scared him into sobriety.

I lived right there, and it is pretty conceivable that someone could fall in and drown, especially in wintertime. That is a nasty part of the river, especially when there is a lot of debris. He could have been on some ice near the bank and slipped and gone in. The fastest way from the campus to downtown is a road that goes right by the river right there, and it is not a busy area, more like an alley, so there would be no one to see and help him.

Yeah this is typical - if the victim had been a female there would be about 50 suspects initially and then they'd narrow it down to the one that fits their profile best. But in this case the victim is a male, so of course it's an accident. No sign of struggle?? So f***ng what moron! Doesn't mean he wasn't held at gunpoint and knocked unconscious and thrown into the river. Long gone are the days of males being murdered, now it's either an accident or suicide.
