Do you know if there is anyway to set FRAPS to a set amount of time of recording? So it will stop recording and save the file at a given time automatically without someone having to close it manually?

I have my sound card set to my device, and Stereo Mix for my Input, but my USB mic is being picked up, for some reason I have to pick one or the other it seems, is there a way I can have my USB mic included into Stereo Mix?

@nordboy17 What exactly are you asking? If you are asking if you are able to record your mic and Stereo Mix simultaneously, the answer is no. You'll have to record them separately. (Unless you have two computers)

@Marth8880 is possible, thick the box in the microphone panel "Listen to this device" and record on stereo-mix then it will capture for me the mic and pc sound.

The 'free' version of FRAPS only records to 30 seconds. The full version has unlimited recording time and (I think) a few other new features.

I've been wanting to do gameplay recordings for a while now, but actually for editing in an image program and taking snapshots from the film, for development purposes. I'll definitely look into FRAPS since I've seen from yourself how well it works; I just hope it doesn't take up a lot of computing power. Thanks OTG.

when i record at 30 fps it the recording slows right down to slow motion

so i stick to 60 which is alot better =D

im gna stick with fraps cos ive fixed the sync and sound now =D

ill give HC2 a few more experiments with DIVX and the other 1s you suggested
