  • Guys this is all nice but *basic* what I want is annotating like in Preview on the mac, and adding text quickly to *1* note!

You can do this by hitting CMD+P, and open in Preview, use annotation like Highlight, Add Oval etc. you can even change the shortcuts in System Preferences (I have opt+o from add oval etc. much easier) but what you *can't* do this way is *leave out text*, so you can add several notes and merge those but the titles get interwoven and it's just messy...

  • "Fluff" of a PDF document? What in heck are you talking about? If you don't like PDF, choose the HTML version. I use Citeulike for saving PDFs. Universities aren't restrictive spaces. You can access almost any database from home, but you have to have a username and password. It sounds as though you don't have access to the library--you just wander in and use it.

  • What kind of academic library doesn't allow you to plug in your laptop and access the content from your own computer? The assumption that you have to use one of the library's computers to access restricted databases is inaccurate. The library only need to authenticate students, or provide a proxy, and the problem of accessing restricted databases from home is a non-problem.

  • Great video. I love Evernote.

    Thanks,

    Chris

  • theres nothing in this video you can do with out evernote.

  • @1Pelito1

I love evernote to collect ideas and some research, but I use Mendeley to collect my papers. It does all of the stuff in this video automatically.

  • Thanks this was useful!
