As for the police handling of the situation, the assailants confined her to her shop, they stole goods from her store, and there is video evidence so I am wondering why is the onus on the victim to report this? The idiot perpetrators reported themselves.

Here is how that would've severely backfired: if she would've picked up a weapon- keep in mind that she had more than 1 violent attacker. From what I understand from news and websites is that: 1 the victim was the OWNER of the salon, 2 it WAS over a man, and 3 the police were relying on the victim to press charges.
As for the police handling of the situation, the assailants confined her to her shop, they stole goods from her store, and there is video evidence so I am wondering why is the onus on the victim to report this? The idiot perpetrators reported themselves.

You are so right! It's not a fight if you don't fight back... what was that hoe provin' by fightin' the girl? It surely wasn't to see who was the baddest bitch in there, cuz it wasn't a competition... once she saw the girl wouldn't fight back, then it's over.

I cried when i watched that poor girl being beat and no one helping, I have been in lots of fights, but they were ALWAYS fair....what the hell is happening when they see a person getting beat and kicked in the face and no one even tries to break it up? Is she ok?
