Actually, most of Blizzard North (creators of Diablo 1 and 2) have left Blizzard Entertainment. They actually admitted to scrapping a lot of original concepts (including the grittier look, exchanging it for a different art style and the lower polygons you see now) that were being worked on at Blizzard North around the time of the original people's departure.

The people currently working on D3 are newcomers to the franshice for the most part, but it's within the same company for sure.

The soulstones were destroyed, sending them back to the black abyss that spawned them. Basically they just end up back in hell. If they can break loose, they can come back. I don't think you can kill them forever. The soulstones don't even work.

i must say that a diablo 3 or diablo movie would be quite amazing and cool too but i doubt that they will make it because i believe more people are interested in the Warcraft Movie they are supposbly going to make but i doubt they will make D3 or diablo movie because they are too caught up in WoW mods, patches, addons, and expansions that they have no time to make a movie(s) and they dont really have the money to either... :(

Well, for all we know they could have a soul link so when one of them dies, their soul passes onto the next brother. When you kill Baal, he's already corrupted the World Stone, so he's probably using that as a Soulstone.

The World stone does not keep the 3 prime evils from returning to sanctuary, it has a far different purpose which i wont spoil because u need to read the diablo books by Richard Knaak. so there there could be an opening for Diablo 3, But currently i think blizzard is focused on starcraft 2 and wow, so dont expect anything in the near future

the world stone keeps heaven, hell, and earth apart, since it was tainted by Baal i think in the new expansion they MIGHT do, not any time soon, heaven has fused with earth, so you start in heaven, and you go down and down, until you reach hell, where you permanatly destroy the prime evils. thus, ending the series

I don't think so, i played as the paladin and i couldn;t beat the game with him. NECROMANCER ALL THE WAY beat all the difficulties with necromancer with all my summoning skills maxed out oh yea, with an army of skeletons and a suited up golem a paladin would be owned so fast, plus me with my bone spirit and poison nova thrusted at u at the same time, insteant death wouldn't even touch me
