  • Anyone who calls this animal abuse has obviously no idea what they are talking about and has never done any research in dog showing. The dogs love the pampering, show dogs get way more attention than any regular "pet" dog. They are very bonded to their caretakers. If you ever watch a dog being prepped for show, you will see they are extremely calm, and so comfortable that they nearly fall asleep from the obsessive pampering. So basically, get over yourselves people.

  • Where can i purchase the wraps and rubber bands? thank you

  • I'm pretty sure this is animal abuse. The dog is saying " Leave me the hell alone"!!!

  • @HappiFayce This is the way the dog can move around freely without having to worry about its long hair getting in the way and getting dirty. This is the complete opposite of animal abuse!

  • Everyone loves to be pampered and at Pure Paws we love 'em all the time!

  • contact our europe@purepaws.net we could not understand French :(

  • are you kidding, they LOVE the attention and time spent with them, they know they're being pampered. Wish someone would wrap mine :)

  • Dogs are meant to be friends.. Not something to "show off". This just seems cruel to me...

  • It's not really about showing off. Most average pet dogs couldn't deal with half of the things that show dogs have to deal with, sometimes (in this yorkies case) daily. And to try and put a fully grown house pet through this would be difficult and probably would be kind of cruel. The difference is this Yorkie has had this done to her for most of her life and has been trained and conditioned to accept it as normal, so to them it isn't cruel in the least.

  • @BakaniBoko Very well put!!

  • @missmackenzielyn It's cruel to you, because you don't understand it. You never show your dog off to friends or family? After a grooming or tricks you have taught the dog? The dogs love the attention and grooming time they get. Show dogs like this, have been getting this type of attention/grooming since young puppies. Take it away and they would be lost. Obviously this type of grooming is not for the "pet" dog.

  • Poor dog!

  • how long does it take the hair to grow froma pup to the floor? x

  • what are wraps made for? i dont know

  • it promotes hair groth. ifyou dont wrap, you cant acheive great lenths

  • how long do you leave the wraps on?

  • I check wraps daily. I remove each wrap individually, brush through the coat and rewrap. Do not take down more than one wrap at a time if possible. Then I bathe every 3-4 days and apply new wraps.

  • How many times do I have to brush my yorksire per day: 4. Once in the morning, noon, once in the after noon and evening

. Beacose have a long hair and Because I bring mojo often outside

  • The more you are caring for the coat the better results you will get. With wraps on the dog I would recommend checking the wraps at least once a day. Take the down check for tiny tangles in the wrap - brush through the coat and rewrap.

  • what is the purpose of wrapping yorkshire hair?

  • The purpose of wrapping the coat is to keep the coat off the floor and from breaking. This is how we acheive the long coats that go to the floor.

  • Very gorgeous dog. That dog will win any pageant, anyday, any time and any where!

  • i have a yorkie, every time i wanna brush her hair she wont let me and she would start bitting me,shes still a puppy..do i have to train her or something??

  • A firm "no ma'am" while giving a slight tug on the beard when she bites should help. You want to keep the training firm but fair. A regimen that is too harsh could lead to a skididish dog. Also reward her when she does well. Good luck.

  • super....!

  • i have a papillon with reeeeeally long trousers and im going to wrap her coat but i want to do it so shes most comfy. any suggestions??? ta

  • after finishing the wrap, move the wrapped hair around a bit to be sure you're not pulling and strands of hair.

  • How do you get the dog to keep them on? Do they not pull them off?

  • We train them by putting the wraps on when they are puppies. The experience has to be fun and enjoyable. We put on a movie and have snacks when we do the wrapping :-) The dogs love the attention!!!

  • Cute dog! Which music is playing in this video?

  • your dog is really beautiful.

  • Thank you :-)

  • thanks so much for the video! Do you know where you can buy the wrapping coat to put on after so the dog won't be able to pull the ones on the back off?

  • Try looking up a web site called Sweety Blue. They should have something like that.

  • Im thinking of doing this with my havanese, thank you very much, the vid was very helpful

  • Let us know how it works if you try the wrapping!

  • thank you!

  • Your Welcome :-)
