thanks man! i have no idea how much hp its running but im guessing in the mid 200's
That's a really good price, i wouldnt recommend the h-pipe for 6's because it makes it too raspy, i have the straight pipes from the cat back and that seems to work best for our year models.
i have a 1998 model v6 3.8litr but for some reason it keeps not wanting to run.. we just replaced the CCRM and the fuel pump and acouple other things but for some reason it starts but it doesnt want to keep running, it struggles its not really getting that much fuel in the valve
i paid 2k for it and another 3500 in parts for mine. it beats all the other year v6's and beats stock gt's (except 05-up). i'd say i t does pretty good for a 5500 car. and the 94-98 model year is just sexy to me lol
ya i know but when i had the extra cash for all those upgrades i wasnt smart about it, i had a good setup and everything but overlooked that fact lol, i just put a posi in and the gears and now i wish i saved the money! the 3.27's in my cobra are nice and if put those in my 6 from the begining i would have saved tons of money.
how much did the gears and t-lock cost you? Another wierd thing that you may know..Ive heard ppl talk about installing front and rear sway bars..my 95 has those already..was that stock or a factory option for a 95? Or are they talking about after market upgrades? The ones I have seem good enough for a 6..why upgrade em?
after install and parts around 1300 because at the same time i also had a clutch and aluminum flywheel put in. with just the gears and posi it was upwards of 500 (you have to buy a bearing rebuild kit with it) and if your going to do that get the 8.8 rear end...that was my mistake =\. i'll give you the link to my cardomain and it will show you pics of my rear sway bar, i got it at a junkyard for 50 bucks and was worth more than most of my parts. v6's don't come stock with rear sway bars but gt's
ya we should i basicall have the sam setup you do except you have and x pipe and my pipes are just straight back ive also got some chassis stuff done to it but other than that seems like a good race

That is a good sounding V6, much nicer than the newer 4.0L V6.

how much did you pay for your v6???? i would never buy a 94-98 v6 mustang, too low hp.

i thought that the v6 could only have the 7.5 gears in it. how did you fit the 8.8?
hamboon 2 years ago
there the motive 7.5 gears
matt98stang 2 years ago
a 8.8 is a direct bolt up, just get it from a gt and slap it on and have a nice day driving with your 8.8 rear end with stock posi and 3.27 gearing

ur probaly only pushing like 160hp to the crank, and have uve gone to the drag strip?
mandrgalvan 3 years ago
idk it came at 150 to the crank stock, so i'll have to go to a dyno to get the RWHP to know for sure, i just never have the time.
matt98stang 3 years ago
well cuz i know for sure you did fell a big difference once ur gears/tlok were installed but those mods will not show up on the dyno
mandrgalvan 3 years ago
for a 98 thats not bad
Horsinaround01 3 years ago
what do you think it is 7? 7.5? idk but im probably not even pushing 200hp right now
