They are, except for Class III Firearms licensees, which allow machine guns. Class III licensees are hard to get and VERY expensive to maintain. Probably the only people who have them are armorers who supply the movie industry with automatic weapons.

I have helmets, uniforms, 98ks, P08s, P38s,G43s,MG34s42s, Wehrmact, Luftwaffe, Kreigsmarine, SS, hats, daggers, Soldbuchs....god, everything in every nook and cranny of my house...BUT, I am a curator of history. Patton was a goofball. Besides that idea that we don't attack our allies, there's the practical matter of logistics, which is how wars are won or lost. if we had attacked the Soviet Union, the US army would probably have mutinied. The supply lines into Russia would have been disastrously long.

Napoleon lost on his way into Russia. Hitler following him into defeat. We would have been next.

Everyone was sick of war and no one except Patton had the stomach for more of it.

Often. We lost some screws in the truck. The cannon is missing some screws. All the result of incomplete restoration. We are switching our work to a concrete slab so that we don't lose our screws, or marbles, for that matter. :-)

We have ideas for of these little stories but at some point the actors say "Why are we doing this? If they don't get paid, they eventually lose interest and there is no cash flow that comes from this.

Very nice video. Full load outs for the entire gun crew must have cost a pretty penny... even with reproduction gear.

Yes, its a PAK40. The equipment was gathered over several years, hunting for bargains and buying in volume to bring the cost down.

Its part of a development process. You don't normally earn an Oscar on your first try. We're getting better and better and when you see the film clips that will be posted in the coming months, you'll see quite an improvement. One will be a collaboration with professionals and it will look like it was produced by a major studio. We will have produced million dollar results for a few thousand.

You raise an interesting question and I have no answer. The helmets are cool, as are the tanks, airplanes, battleships, etc. It may have something to do with "the crusade against communism" or other political issues. Almost no one in the US admires Nazi philosophy or defends Germany's record of aggressive war or the Holocast. Yet, this fascination with the Wehrmacht remains (NOT the NSDAP).

The good news is that it is harmless.

It is just cool and believe me when I was young and we played war there was barely one who wanted to play the Russians. We were the Germans and we were cool with it. Who had a real helmet was king. I think it would be more accurate to say that people have a big facination with the regular German army, the Wehrmacht. Not the SS or the nazi party itself. I think this is because the german equipment was amazingly high quality, and their tactics were way ahead of their times and some of which are still used today.

Our country is being overrun my Mexicans and other non-Europeans. The Germans of World War II fought for all of Europe. We see the truth now. The Waffen SS were crusaders for the European people.

The main problem for the German army was the vast area of land.  The attacks in Europe were relitively easy becuase of the petrol stations and good roads. USSR only had dirt, or more often mud and no petrol for miles. the logistics were impossible. The germans failed to harness the civilians in the Ukraine who would be willing to fight against the Russians. Also the force was taken away from Moscow - the centre of supply and comunications, not mentioning it's political potnetial.

Our next effort will have German and Russian voices dubbed over our English.

The truck came from Indiana, the PAK came from Finland, through a vendor in Canada. Our 37mm FLAK came from North Carolina. Our 88 came from an English dealer who got it from Spain. The tank also came from England, but origially from Russia. The German 20mm came from a dealer in Texas, who got it from Spain (I guess, because the writing on the gun is Spanish).It comes from all over the place.

The war was fought and won on the eastern front. The Americans think they won it single handedly as do the brits, they played their role of course but the majority of the German forces were destroyed in Russia. They have never give poor Russia credit.

"we won the war"- in the meaning that they won their part of the war, it's correct. in the meaning that they won the whole ww2-baaaaad. ex: Germany had 40 divisions in the west front, while Russia was fighting 300 divisions in the east

Don't be an idiot an open a history book. Soviet MILITARY losses were about 10.7 million and German military losses were about 5.5 million (over 80% on Eastern Front). That makes about 2.5:1 losses which is not bad considering that early in the war Germany achieved complete surprise and had strategic superiority. Later in the war the tables turned and it was the Soviet Forces who destroyed huge German formations. USSR lost about 27 million people - most of the civilians killed by Germans.

The Germans win this one. We have other scripts where the Russians win. In the final, long movie, it will likely come out as a draw. We use Russians because we have so much Russian heavy equipment and Russian reenactors are nearby.
