Steve had pretty much achieved "greatness" by 1975...hard to say what he would have done had he lived beyond 1991, but I think it's safe to say it would have paled in comparison to what he'd already achieved prior :)
@drprogensteinphp thanks for uploading this.....these guys were just a few years before my time but I remember my older sister and her friends partying to this......what a cool video.....thanks for the "timetravel".....some stuff just never gets old
Saw Humble Pie at the Whisky on Humble Pie's White Album tour. Marriott was a sweetheart, insisted I take a swig of Southern Comfort from his 'Time For a Drink' clock flask, sweet burning stuff for a lad of about 13. Afterward he made a dream come true by agreeing to play my request of 'Red Light Mama', which they'd never done onstage before and probably not after. He was such an incredible talent & so down to earth and real.
Twenty years ago today you left this Earth. Your songs live on and through all musicians that play from the heart & soul. May you have the peace in death that you didn't have in life. Hope you are with Rinnie writing some new songs with all the past drama behind you. Grace & peace to all tonight. Rock on Steve!
saw The Pie many many times in the 70's and my ears and lack of hearing left are the living proof!!!! But I would do it all over again! But I have to pass alot of the blame off to the Kinks, GrandFunk, Mott, The Ramones and the Who too! among others as well!~
@hydraIX You said it, This has always been one of my favorite Pie songs. This is the ultimate rock and roll anthem. It is not one of the more well known songs, and the album has no name and is impossible to find. Rock On.

Really appreciate you posting this. Great graphics, animation! Just wonderful! Really miss Steve Marriott as well. Think of all the music we DIDN'T get due to his tragic death. Nice tribute to him friend! Grace and peace! Rock on!
Yes Steve was numero uno!!! I met him once after a gig in Beckton with Joe Brown and he said 'have'nt I met you before' I was speechless! Meeting somebody you have idolised from the mid sixties as a Small Faces fan. Saw the Pie play Waltham Forest Tech back in '72 with Framptons Camel as support.
after Frampton left, for me anyways, the Pie started going down hill. But no one before or after will be able to sing as great as the late Steve Marriott. He was the best hands down. Rock On.
l anna know how much pressure the record cmpany must have given them to tittle this track "l wanna know"

As a music promoter in the 70's in L.A. I had the pleasure of meeting humble pie And Steve was a class act. Black Coffee is his.

Yes, I was fortunate enough to see them live back in the early 70's on a few occasions. Twice with Frampton, and twice with Clem.
Steve had such a great stage persona...I'm sure meeting him would have been one heck of an experience indeed!
