i love ross bay :) too bad the angel was vandalized by some stubid fucks yrs ago shes said to cry on occasions great video guys:) I live in Victoria this is cool
I forgot to say that Alexander Dunsmuir was the son of Charles Dunsmuir. The house was bought and sold by several families before the City of Oakland purchased the estate. It's interesting that he changed his name. I didn't know that.
William Alexander Smith changed his name to Amor DeCosmos. As far as I know, Alexander Dunsmuir never changed his name. Maybe you know more about Amor DeCosmos than I do?
I Googled Dunsmuir and looked closely at the page I found yesterday. Alexander Dunsmuir was the son of ROBERT Dunsmuir. He died in New York while on his honeymoon!!! It now seems that William Alexander and Alexander were not the same people.
I knew my post from yesterday didn't show up! Anyhoo, the name Dunsmuir caught my attention! We have a Dunsmuir House and Gardens down here in Oakland, CA. Turns out, Alexander Dunsmuir came down here and built that house! It's now an Historic Site. Oakland bought the entire estate in the 1960s and now it's a museum. It's interesting to hear a little about his family from you! I'm really into genealogy.
There is quite a California connection with the Dunsmuirs.
Tallulah Bankhead used to party with one of the Dunsmuir heiresses here in Victoria. There were some wild times up at Craigdarroch! Oh shit... You gave me an idea for yet another video!!!
After I die, quite frankly, I won't much care what happens to my remains. At that point in time I won't have any use for them... Whatever costs the least (likely cremation) will be the way...
That's very interesting! With cremation, you roll them into the furnace in a cardboard box a day or two after death and burn them. Game over! With burial, funeral homes jack up charges with embalming, makeup, fancy caskets that can cost thousands, elaborate ceremonies, monuments, and so on...
My father's cremation last year cost about $1000 including the cardboard box and the tasteful urn... My aunt died six years ago, and her embalming, casket, hole in the ground, plaque, ceremony and all cost over ten thousand! If you just lower the body wrapped in an old bedsheet into the ground, it may be cheap, but there are laws that just don't let you do that here. I imagine the relative costs of caring for the dead vary like crazy from one part of the world to another...
I tried to talk momma into going there with me today, but she's got it in her head that visiting cemeteries where you don't have any kin is illegal. It's an open, fenceless public cemetery, but she doesn't want the graveyard police to get us.
Isn't that an amazing coincidence that we thought of the exact same thing at about the same time. There are many more graves tin Paris that I'd like to see, like Oscar Wilde's...
In Brisbane Australia they have night walks throw the Cemetery it cost to do the walk but there are some Grate stories and you get drinks at the end hahahah 5 stars guys :)
It's like having a secret and finally getting to tell someone. Making videos is one way to get stuff off your chest. I never would have believed I'd get to 550 videos when I first started doing this...
Very interesting! That angel you showed at the beginning has always creeped me out especially. Kids used to say that if you kissed her on the lips you'd die a violent death haha It's true though..really
Someday I'd like to visit the Pere Lachaise Cemetery in Paris, but I'll try to get footage from Notre Dame Des Neiges in Montreal this summer... Vienna must be interesting... I've only been to one or two Austrian cemeteries,
apparently emily carr requested to be buried without a coffin just to be in the earth from which she loves so dearly shes incredible

actually, i think cremation is quite expensive. electricity or gas used is more expensive than a hole in the ground. either way...
