He only does his hits in Birmingham, well,ok,do `em there then.I thought Roy Wood wasn`t doing any of his songs anymore, but who gives a fuck anyway eh? He wasn`t anywhere near the Slade,The Marc Bolan or Gary Glitter, but i know that fuckin pedo was a disgrace, but anyway Wood did a Chrismas tune the year after Slade, that was only his best tune imo.
Probably the artificial hips. Seriously, it was a lovely, supportive, and enthusiastic crowd, but there were very few under the age of around 50 in attendance.
1972 was a great year, and era, for music. Such a huge variety of things happening. This is a very strong part of the rich tapestry of what was in the charts in late 1972. It is a song that sort of tumbles along, very original, and arriving "left of centre" at the time.
this is how a show should be, i cant stand people clapping in my face or singing along and ruining the song

the audidence is completely numb and...dumb!
It's amazing and scary, judging by the fact that Roy Wood's a "legend".
Why don't they clap their hands or something?

Roy Wood is a legend. I've loved everything he's ever done. Been going to his gigs since 1972 and had the pleasure of meeting the man 5 years ago.
