barbie and friends come in many different hair colours , pj was originally blonde ,and was a friend introduced in the early 60s ,stacey came in blonde but was also titanian or red head ,francie came a s blonde or brunnette,just a way of adding to many different ways of dolls to appeal to different children

she s is also brunnette, barbie and christie were also part of the range,christie being just brown vinyl with the barbie head mould,until the steffie / pj head mould was used on the first black barbie with afro perm,in the late 70s

pj roses is one of mattels most gorgeous dolls from the eighties, she was made from the 70s friend walk lively steffie head mould ,her dress is beautiful,
